Dr. Bill Cardoso - CEO

Job Titles:
  • CEO
Our benevolent overlord is an overeducated Brazilian who became an electronics technician at 13, continued in life to get a BS, MS, and PhD in Electrical Engineering, and topped off with an MBA from the University of Chicago. While taking way too many classes, Bill ran the top engineering design department at Fermilab, the leading high energy and nuclear physics research lab in the USA. After almost a decade in Chicago, Bill moved to San Diego in search of perpetual summers. In San Diego, Bill founded Creative Electron, where he obsesses about building the best x-ray machines in the world. When not on a plane, Bill spends time on the beach listening to Car Talk with his beautiful wife and three kids. And collecting old cars; Bill is also a member of the Model A Ford Club of America. He recently converted a 1928 Ford Model A to an all electric vehicle.

Dr. Glen Thomas

Job Titles:
  • VP of TECHNOLOGY
A native of Chicago, our X-ray guru is another overeducated member of our team who holds BS, MS, and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering. Rumors say he learned all about x-rays from Roentgen himself, which explains Glen's successful career building a number of x-ray inspection companies. A well-known expert in the field, we are still trying to find something he hasn't x-rayed yet. His encyclopedic knowledge of x-ray machines and applications is paramount to helping our customers find the best solution to their problems. Glen's interests are as wide as his x-ray knowledge - ranging from ancient vacuum cleaners to exotic cars. Although not yet verified, Glen claims to have the recipe for the perfect Chicago hotdog.

Griffin Lemaster

Job Titles:
  • VP of Manufacturing
Under Griffin's leadership, we have experienced an incredible growth trajectory by bringing to market x-ray inspection systems that push the limits of technology. Griffin brings to Creative Electron a rigorous approach to product development acquired during his tenure designing automotive parts for a major Japanese automaker. One of the first to join Bill's journey to change the world of x-ray inspection, Griffin leads our day-to-day operations. Griffin holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Ohio State University and an Executive MBA from California State University San Marcos.

Jerry Torres

Job Titles:
  • Quality Assurance Inspector
A true SMT veteran, Jerry worked on a couple of contract manufacturing companies before joining our team. He managed several SMT lines that made sophisticated electronic products - and now he manages the manufacturing of our TruView X-Ray systems. His decades of experience in manufacturing are critical to his tenacity and commitment to the quality of the x-ray machines we make. A man of process and procedures, Jerry is one of the few people out there who watch videos about cable dressing in machines in his spare time. Yes, well-built machines are his life, in and out of the office.

Jonathan Jimenez

Job Titles:
  • VP of Software Dev.
A graduate from Miracosta College and the University of California San Diego, JJ is a software savant who continuously obsesses about designing the best software for our x-ray systems. He leads our software team in artificial intelligence and machine learning development, which differentiates our systems from every other solution available in the market today. His talent blossomed early in life. Once in class he was told a division by zero resulted in "indeterminate". Not happy with this answer JJ disagreed, proceeding to demonstrate how limits could be used to show the correct, and very determinate, result. He had, inadvertently, used L'Hopitals Rule. That was in 4th grade - and he was 9.

Mariem Ortiz

Job Titles:
  • General Manager
Our General Manager joined our team right after receiving a double major in Mechanical Engineering and Environmental Studies from the University of San Diego. Her first job was to manage the production floor, where she developed documentation and processes ready for an ISO audit. She can put together an x-ray machines with her eyes closed - talent that made her perfect for the VP of Manufacturing job. Mariem can design a process for everything - her morning routine has exactly 27 steps. Some say she could have beaten Henry Ford to the invention of the assembly line, and that she coined the term "automation".

Tony DeMartini

Job Titles:
  • Sales Engineer
