Andrew Gale - Chairman, President

Andrew has over 30 years' experience in the financial services industry. Currently he is Executive Director with Chase Corporate Advisory. Previously he held various Executive roles with Count Financial Ltd, Deloitte Actuaries & Consultants, MLC and AMP. Andrew was formerly President of the Australian Institute of Actuaries and served on the Executive Committee. He is Vice Chairman of the SMSF Professionals Association of Australia. He is also a member of the NAB Advice & Licences Board. Andrew is the Director and Principal of Bridge Street Consulting a specialist consulting firm that works with clients at Board, CEO and senior executive level to devise and deliver effective growth strategies. Andrew is a Graduate of the David Syme Business School, Monash University; a Certified Practicing Marketer (CPM) and a Fellow of the Australian Marketing Institute. He is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD) and is a Graduate of the Harvard Leadership Program.

Catherine is co-founder and Managing Director of Global Access Partners Pty Ltd (GAP). She oversees most of the organisation's marketing and sales functions, as well as the day-to-day operations of the business. She is responsible for effective planning, delegating, coordinating, staffing, organising and decision making. Catherine holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of New South Wales, and a Masters of Business in International Marketing from the University of Technology, Sydney. She is a mother of three children and is passionate about helping those less fortunate through the not-for-profit business she co-founded, Thread Together, which provides brand new clothing to those in need across Australia.

Dean Pearson

Dean is Head of Industry Analysis at National Australia Bank with over 20 years experience in analysing the economy and assessing the implications both in Australia and globally. He is responsible for monitoring key business trends and identifying industries which are likely to provide the strongest growth opportunities and greatest risks. Previously he was Senior Economist at National Australia Bank managing the Group's Industry Commodity Research Division, producing a robust basis for its economic forecasts, lending and investment decisions and its portfolio management activities. Additionally he provided valuable information to support the marketing efforts of the bank's business and sales managers.

Elena Waring - Secretary

Elena is a Senior Associate at law firm, Corrs Chambers Westgarth. She has a broad range of experience in advising and acting on behalf of clients involved in building and construction, logistics, property and retail leasing disputes. Elena also has extensive experience in general commercial litigation and has engaged in litigation in various courts, arbitral tribunals and jurisdictions. Elena brings to the Australian Society for Progress & Wellbeing an interesting perspective. Working as a corporate lawyer, she comes from the profession with some of the highest rates of depression amongst our Australian workforce. Every day, Elena is balancing the needs of her clients with the wellbeing of herself and her team. Through her leadership positions within and outside her corporate law firm, Elena has an understanding of what it is to mainstream workplace considerations such as flexibility and diversity.

Jacqui Gale

Appointed Executive Manager for the Society in mid-2013, Jacqui has been a leading force in its transition from Taskforce to operational Society. Jacqui commenced her career as Teacher/Librarian at Newington College. She has done significant work in database design including as a Consultant to Western Sydney Health Service and a Researcher with Macquarie University Department of Applied Finance and Actuarial Studies. Additionally, Jacqui has had significant involvement in the NFP sector including Mission Australia (research), St Vincent's de Paul, and fundraising for the OzDay 10K Wheelchair Race. Jacqui has also dedicated herself to raising her family of four children.

Olga Bodrova - COO

Olga is Chief Operating Officer and Director of Research at public policy think-tank Global Access Partners Pty Ltd (GAP). She is responsible for developing and coordinating GAP's research programmes and the production and presentation of all reports and publications. She also manages data analysis activities across all GAP business units and provides data intelligence to GAP's executives and key stakeholders to support informed decision making. Olga holds a Masters Degree in Musicology from the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatoire and a postgraduate degree in Media Arts & Production from the University of Technology, Sydney. She is co-founder and director of Writing Partners - a professional writing agency which delivers high-quality, cost-effective writing and editing services for government, business and non-profit organisations.

Peter Fritz AM

Peter Fritz AM is Chairman of Global Access Partners, and TCG Group Managing Director. TCG is a diverse group of companies which over the last forty years has produced many breakthrough discoveries in computer and communication technologies. Today the TCG group of companies employ well over 6000 people with a turnover in excess of $1.3 billion annually. Peter's innovative management style and corporate structuring has led to the creation of a business model which is being copied by many successful entrepreneurs, and has become part of university undergraduate and masters programs in business management in Australia and around the world. Peter Fritz chairs a number of influential government and private enterprise boards and is active in the international arena, including having represented Australia on the OECD Small and Medium Size Enterprise Committee. He is the holder of six degrees and professional qualifications, is a recipient of the Order of Australia, and has received many other honours.

Stephen Bartos

Stephen Bartos is the NSW Parliamentary Budget Officer where he is responsible for costing election promises submitted by the Premier and the Leader of the Opposition and publishing a statement, prior to the election, which summarises the budget impact of the costed policies of the parliamentary leaders. Prior to his appointment, Stephen was the Canberra Executive Director of leading economic and public policy consulting firm ACIL Allen. Amongst the projects he undertook were a review of the performance of Horticulture Australia Limited a review of the accountability framework of the Australian Energy Regulator and Australian Energy Market Commission and strategic advice to the CSIRO on future sustainability and financial options. He also advised the NSW Department of Primary Industries on the reform of its R&D activities, and advice to the Business Council of Australia on federal government finances. Previously, Stephen was Professor of Governance and Director of the National Institute of Governance at the University of Canberra. Prior to that, he was Deputy Secretary of the Commonwealth Finance department, where he was responsible for the department's work on the budget, accounting policies, government businesses, estimates updates and related matters. Stephen has a BA (Hons) degree from the Australian National University and completed postgraduate studies at Harvard University. He is holds Fellow status with the Institute of Public Administration Australia, the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Australian Institute of Management.
