BACKGROUND INVESTIGATIONS

Background Investigations was started in 1995 by Kenneth R. Pinkerton. In 1995 while working in the State of Washington as a Parole and Probation Fugitive Officer it was Ken's job to investigate, locate, and apprehend fugitives. While on the job it was determined fugitives were going out on fishing boats to Alaska. The US Coast Guard was contacted and the fugitives were taken off fishing boats in Puget Sound and booked into the County jails. One of the seafood companies called and asked why these individuals were being taken off the boats and arrested by the US Coast Guard. The fishing company was told the recently hired applicants had fugitive warrants for violent crimes and these individuals were a danger to the community and other employees on the boat. The fishing company stated it cost a lot of money to outfit new hires and process them for the trip to Alaska. They indicated they were going to call the company that conducted the criminal background investigations on these..
