Aimee Asebroek

Aimee Asebroek graduated with honors from the University of California, Irvine in 2005 where she received her Bachelor ™s degree in Spanish and her minor in Educational Studies. At UC Irvine, she was the president and captain of the women ™s club volleyball team for three years, earning the SCCVL Player of the Year award her last three years. Aimee was also the President of the Southern California Collegiate Volleyball league. Aimee started her club coaching career with North County Volleyball Club ™s 12 and under team at the age of 19, and has since coached at SoCal Volleyball Club. She has coached teams at every age group and level for girls, and the 14s and 16s level for boys. She has also run camps and coached for the City of Vista, Club Strictly Volleyball and North County Volleyball Club. Aimee has coached at San Marcos High School and assisted at AIAA Conference Champion Cal State San Marcos University, and worked closely with their head coach, A.I.I. Volleyball Coach of the Year, Andrea Leonard on both the coaching and recruiting side. She spent 4 years as the Varsity Coach at Vista High School. She has worked closely with her volleyball mentor, Olympian Mary Jo Peppler to develop a curriculum for SoCal that ensures a player will have the same technically driven experience from coach to coach and team to team. Aimee believes that consistent technical work and feedback are a must for ALL ages and skill levels but that developing and maintaining teamwork skills and great attitudes are even more critical. For her, there is an overriding emphasis on enjoying the experience as a whole and creating a lifelong love for the game. Aimee also stresses consistent hard work and respect for one another and coaches. She teaches her coaches to be kind, fair, consistent and disciplined with their kids.

Alli Davidson

Players would describe Alli's coaching style as high energy, technically focused, and character-driven. Alli is accessible and kind; she deeply affects the lives of her athletes. Alli caught the coaching bug while she was a player, volunteering her time her High School years with SoCal's FutureStars Program, a developmental clinic program that requires patience, attention to detail, and passion. The FutureStars program has now evolved into the Local Cali Program which she now manages with about 150 participants. Alli always makes sure her kids are having fun, that they understand the importance of discipline, and most importantly learning how to be spirited teammates and athletes. When you go to Alli's court expect to see high-intensity game-like drills, constructive feedback, discipline, and a constant focus on team communication. In addition to being a dedicated SoCal Coach, Alli is the Programs Coordinator and Assistant Coaching Director.

Angel Hinkle

Angel has been a fixture in North County volleyball for 20 years, and is a long-time SoCal 12 and under local program favorite. As a player, Angel made her mark at Mira Costa college and was a two-year starter at Lewis-Clark College. As a coach, she has impacted many club, middle school, and high school programs, including St. Francis, Kearny High, Vista High, Hard Rock VBC, Athletic Fusion VBC, and most recently Rancho Buena Vista High School. When coaching, Angel stresses skills, court management and organization, and FUN. She wants all of her players to sweat and smile at the same time!

Annie Nugent

Long-time SoCal member, Annie Nugent has been with us for over 10 years and played on our competitive travel teams from 2013-2021. She made the top team for her age group in just her third season with us and continued to be on the National team every year after as the starting setter and captain of her team. Following her high school graduation and her last season as a player for us, she immediately started coaching, and we are so happy she's here. She attended Mission Vista High School where she played 3 years in their program spending two years on Varsity as their starting setter. In 2019, Annie was selected as MVP of her team and named First Team All-Valley League. That same year she helped lead her team to the Valley League title providing Mission Vista their first girl's volleyball league title in school history and an overall record of 24-10. Currently, Annie is attending the University of Saint Katherine right here in San Marcos and is studying kinesiology while playing on their women's volleyball team. Her coaching style includes giving a ton of encouragement, providing so much feedback, having lots of fun, and being tough in those moments when a coach just needs to bring out the best in their players. She pushes her kids to be extremely vocal, quick on their feet, and as precise as possible with their technique.

Audrey Green

Audrey Green graduated from San Marcos High School in 2005. After high school, she moved on to be a dual sport athlete, where she began her collegiate career playing basketball on athletic scholarship at SDSU. The following year she transferred schools and sports to Palomar College in order to refocus on volleyball. In her sophomore campaign Green earned AVCA All-American, 1st Team All-State, and Pacific Coast Conference Player of the Year accolades while leading the Comets to a first place finish in the PCC. Green completed her athletic and undergraduate career at Division II powerhouse UCSD, earning a degree in psychology while competing for head coaches Tom Black (now at LMU and U.S. National Team) and U.S. Olympian Ricci Luyties. Green has over 10 years of experience coaching volleyball and basketball from ages 7 to adult.

Azriel White

Three words to describe Azriel are: outgoing, fun and hardworking! She started coaching in 2019 at Glendora youth volleyball club. Players describe her coaching style as fun but stern. "Many of the skills you learn in volleyball will translate to real world situations. I want to make sure that I ™m not only Coach great volleyball players but great humans as well." Azriel has been playing since she was 14 years old. She first went to a 2 year college in Idaho where they won the national tournament. After that she transferred to Saint Kathrine University where she plans to finish her beach and indoor career! Azriel is choosing to coach at SoCal VBC because she believes we create a fun learning environment which is vital for kids. A fun fact about her is that she's been a setter for only four years of my 9 year career.

Becky Spear

Three words to describe Bella are: fun, determined and hardworking! Bella joins us in the 2021 season as a coach after being a player at SoCal since she was 11! She played all 4 years at Mission Hills High: one year on JV and four years on varsity. "I want to coach at SoCal because the SoCal coaches have always been able to make me grow as a player and as a person. I want to give back to what SoCal has given me, by doing the same to the younger kids who are just starting." An interesting fact about Bella is that she has played every position besides libero!

Ben Moselle

Ben Moselle graduated from San Dieguito High School (Encinitas) in 1993, and played on three national championship teams at UCLA ( ™95, ™96 and ™98), earning AVCA All-American honors in 1998. When Ben graduated with a degree in economics that year, he shared (with Kevin Wong) the UCLA team record for most aces in a single match. Moselle was volunteer assistant coach for the Rutgers University men ™s club team in 1999 while training for a stint playing professional volleyball in Holland. Moselle then went on to earn an MBA degree at UC Irvine in 2002. Since that time, Moselle has conducted small-group fitness classes and coached club volleyball in the San Diego area. Ben's true passion is fitness. As a strength and conditioning specialist, his goal is to help SoCal players gain a physical advantage and stay healthy throughout their athletic careers and beyond. As a volleyball coach, Ben embraces players' individual talents and instincts, promoting "volley-I.Q." development rather than stressing technical X's, O's and angles. Moselle has been a San Marcos resident since 2002. His full-time job is in publishing. In his spare time, he breeds saltwater clownfish "Nemos" and grows corals.

Brian Lane

Brian has been described as a high energy, passionate, and fun coach. He has been a part of North County volleyball for over a decade as both a player and coach, primarily coaching at the high school level for both girls and boys at Classical Academy. Through hard work, team work, and a focus on fundamentals, his favorite part of coaching is helping develop players to achieve their goals on and off the court and instill skills that will help with future endeavors.

Dave Faleumu

Dave is a very passionate veteran of youth volleyball in our community.Dave formerly coached the Frosh team at Vista High School, and currently coaches the varsity team at RBV. Dave has been coaching at SoCal VBC for the past four years at all levels. Dave is also a former rugby player, having played for the All Blacks, as well as, the Samoan National Team. Dave also coached the U19 Samoan International team for over a year and half.

Dennis Nosco

Eric Sato

Known as the best defensive specialist in the world in the late 80's and early 90's while playing for the USA NAtional Team, Eric Sato is a two-time Olympic medalist (Gold '88, Bronze '92), and also owns gold medals from the 1986 World Championships and the 1987 Pan-Am Games, and bronze medals from the 1991 World Cup and the 1994 World Championships. Sato was also a member of two USA Volleyball Open national Championship teams, and was also named Defensive Player of the Year on the 4-man pro beach tour in 1997. In his ten seasons at the helm of Francis Parker High School's Varsity Girls Volleyball team, Sato guided his squads to the 2004 and 2005 CIF Division IV state championships and four CIF-San Diego Section D-IV titles ('02, '04, '05, 06), while making six straight CIF Finals appearances. His teams have also captured seven consecutive Coastal League South championships. He was named San Diego County and California State Coach of the Year for the 2004 girls' season, and repeated as SD County Coach of the Year in 2005. The CIF San Diego Section named Sato 2005-2006 CIFSDS Coach of the Year. Sato's first boys' team as head coach captured CIF D-IV and Western League championships in 2006, and as an assistant coach he also contributed to the previous six consecutive CIF & Western League titles earned by Parker boys' volleyball teams since 2000. He also led the Parker boys' JV squad to an undefeated season in his first season with the Lancers. The head women's coach at Grossmont College from 1998-2000, Sato led the Griffins to Pacific Coast Conference championships in 1999 and 2000, earning conference Coach of the Year honors both seasons. In 2003, he was honored by USA Volleyball as one of the members of USAV's 75th Anniversary All-Era (1978-2002) Team. In 2011, Sato was selected as Volleyball Monthly top 35 all time greats. In 2016, Sato was selected USAV's All-time great male player award. He is also a sought after coach for camps and private lessons.

Grace Crawford

Three words to describe Grace are: responsible, disciplined and encouraging. Grace started coaching in 2017 at Forza1 volleyball club. Players describe her coaching style as patient and thorough. Grace started playing club volleyball at 12 and has been playing for 11 years now! In high school, she played on varsity for three years and moved on to play at Pasadena City College. Recently, she transferred to the University of Saint Katherine to finish her volleyball and academic career. Grace chose to work at SoCal VBC because she loves coaching, volleyball and working with kids! One fun fact about her is that she has coached gymnastics.

Gwen Alden

Gwen's players would describe her as soft-spoken yet intense and motivating. Specializing in the younger age groups, Gwen's teams have all undergone vast transformations. She has high expectations for her kids and they thrive in her team environment. Gwen recently moved here from Atsugi, Japan. There, she coached girls teams in the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation volleyball leagues. Gwen was born and raised in Lawrence, Kansas where she was on a nationally ranked team her senior year in high school. She accepted a volleyball scholarship to the University of Missouri and played for the Tigers from 1991-1994. During her tenure, Gwen won several student-athlete awards, including NSCA All-American Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year, Phillips 66 All-Big Eight Team Awards and All-Big Eight Conference Team. Since college, Gwen has worked in her career field as a physical therapist, raised three girls and traveled around the world with her husband and his career. She joins us at SoCal Volleyball club as the director of HealthWest Physical Therapy, where she works to strengthen our athletes in hopes of avoiding all injury during their volleyball careers and living long, healthy lives!

Haley Price

SoCal VBC and California State University San Marcos Athletic Department announced the hiring of Haley Price women's volleyball coach in July 2021. Price had this to say, "I am honored to join SoCal VBC and support their exceptional mission and values! I am dedicated to elevating the program in all aspects with a heavy focus on technical skill and philosophy." Price comes to San Marcos from Louisburg College in Raleigh, NC. While at LC, she elevated the program to new heights on and off the court: posting the highest roster sizes, GPA, and post-season finish in more than half a decade. She also served as an assistant athletic director and assistant club director at NC Elite VBC. Prior to her time coaching in the NJCAA, Price led teams at Dobyns-Bennett High School where she was the youngest head coach in the state of Tennessee. There she successfully established and managed a code of conduct for three teams on their way to compiling a 38-10 record, placing 3rd in TSSAA AAA State Championship, and winning Conference/Region Championships. In her first season Price won Big 6 District 1 AAA Coach of the Year honors, as she placed 100% of goal-driven players in collegiate programs through recruiting strategy and college readiness character building. From 2017-2019 Price was also Assistant Club Director and Head Volleyball Coach for TriCities Extreme Volleyball Club where she coordinated special event youth clinics and skilled lessons for high school, club, and college levels to improve and advance all skill levels. Under her leadership, the club program grew from 10 teams to 19 teams.

Iona Lofrano

Iona grew up in a small town just outside of Sacramento (Meadow Vista). She was very active as a child playing volleyball, soccer, basketball, and running track and cross country. In high school, she was named MVP of her high school season her Senior year. She got a scholarship to play volleyball at the NCAA Division II California State University, Los Angeles for the Golden Eagles. In her Sophomore season, Iona received many awards including National Volleyball Player of the Week by AVCA. She finished the season earning All Conference awards as well as recognized as an All-American Honorable Mention. The remaining two years were also successful becoming the schools first ever three-time All-American and only the second player in the history of the school to be honored with an Academic All-American award. Following her Senior season, she played a fifth year at CSULA in the inaugural year of the Beach Volleyball team, also Graduate Assisting the indoor program while taking Master courses in Exercise Science. She began her coaching career during her Sophomore year at Nike Elite West in Culver City. She helped coach 4 teams through her time there.

He has been the Junior Varsity volleyball Coach for the past 3 years for Classical Academy High School and is also an Assistant Coach for their Varsity team.

Kiora Ridgeway

Three words to describe Kiora are positive, mindful and personable. She starting coaching in 2015 at Portland CYO League, with various youth camps and clinics Kioras coaching style focuses on positive reinforcement! "If there ™s something we need to fix technically I will try to find the positive aspect of the hit/set/block- whatever it may be, before working on improving. Every player has it in them we just need to bring it out!" Kiora has been playing volleyball since 2008. She played for Rose City, Portland Volleyball Club and Adidas Northwest Jrs. during her club career. During high school, she was a 2-time state finalist and a state champion in her junior year. Post high school she played at Long Island University Post for 1 year before transferring to CSUSM! Kiora is excited to join the SoCal team because of the message our club spreads: being a good person and bettering yourself for others through volleyball. One fun fact about Kiora is that she has dual citizenship! US and Canadian. She also loves to roller skate and practice yoga!

Linda Suster is originally from the Big Island of Hawai'i and was a SoCal mom for 12 years before taking over the store in 2017. Married to her husband, Mike, for 29 years, she's a mother of five adult(ish) kids and three dogs. Linda is always on the hunt for the coolest, most comfortable yet high quality apparel to add to the store. In her personal life, Linda does driftwood art which you will see hanging in the Peace Cafe. With her island background and SoCal spirit, she is striving to bring some girl power and aloha to the store.

Marissa Nosco

Mark Smith

Mark Smith started as teacher/coach of the sports 30+ years ago and has been a Head coach at five different High schools in San Diego: Monte Vista, Cathedral Catholic, Serra, San Dieguito Academy, and Santa Fe Christian. During these years he won 10 league championships and over 13 CIF appearances. In addition, he was an assistant with UCSD 1993 to 1995, Palomar College 2000 to 2003, San Diego City College from 2009 to 2011, Miramar College from 2015 to present and in 2018 named the Head Coach of Women ™s volleyball at Miramar College. In its first two years of existence, the program has placed two student athletes into a four-year university. Mark also has experience with the Men ™s Deaf Olympic team as a first assistant during the 2005 and 2017 Olympic games. He has been a clinician at Pepperdine, Stanford, and Seaside next level volleyball camps. Mark co-founded the Seaside Volleyball Club with Coach Fred Featherstone in 1989. He assisted Coach Featherstone with the 1990, 18-1 Black team that won the Silver Medal (2nd overall) at the Junior Olympics in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Mark left Seaside in 96 ™ to form his own club " Shorebreak- out of Escondido, where he remained until 2003. He led his 1999 18-1 team to 9th in the Open Division in New Orleans. He produced over 20 collegiate players and 1 NCAA All-American (Nils Nielson) and 1 AVP Pro (Billy Allen). Mark is also an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Dept. of Exercise Science, Health and Nutrition at Miramar. He holds a Master ™s degree in Physical Education/Coaching from Azusa Pacific University, and a Bachelors degree in Humanities from San Diego Christian College. Mark is a member of the American Volleyball Coaches Association and has earned CAP Level I certification through USA Volleyball's Coaching Accreditation Program.

Michelle Gardiner

Three words to describe Michelle are: motivated, focused and determined. She started coaching in 1990 at various programs like: Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Northern Arizona, Western Carolina, Utah State, Idaho State, Lake Superior State as well as different high schools and clubs over the decades. Her coaching accolades include: NCAA Division 1 AVCA 100+ wins club. Multiple 20+ win seasons at Western Carolina. Coach of the year in both 1990 and 1991 for the Los Padres League. Players describe her coaching style as being a very detailed fundamental coach. "I feel very strongly about solidifying strong fundamental skills as the basis to grow as a player. I love this game passionately and I try my best to pass that passion on to my players in my coaching." Players would say she is a Coach that pushes you to be your best, has hard working practices and mixes in some fun too! Michelle has played professionally in Switzerland, in 2 professional leagues in the USA, she spent time training with the USA Women ™s National Team (Both A & B teams), was an All American Outside Hitter at Cal Poly SLO, a 2 Time Cal Poly Female Athlete of the Year, Big West Conference All Region 2x and All Big West Freshman Team. She chose to coach as SoCal because, "I absolutely love teaching and coaching. I also love the SoCal motto to BE KIND! The SoCal staff has been so welcoming to me and my daughter. It feels like a great fit." A fun fact about Michelle is that she is 1 of (less than) 5 outside hitters to become an All American outside hitter at only 5 ™8 tall in the past 25 years of NCAA Division 1 volleyball!!

Morgan Byers

Morgan grew up on Doheny State Beach his entire life. From surfing, to summer camps, to beach volleyball. Morgan has been the director of the annual Doheny Beach Volleyball Camp and Doheny CBVA tournaments for the past 20 years. Morgan has also been an avid "AAA" ranked beach player in California. Morgan's previous coaching experience includes being a Head Coach and Director of Club Lite at San Clemente VBC. Before that, he coached at WAVE VBC for both indoor and beach teams. Morgan also spent time as the Girls Varsity Head Coach at San Juan Hills High School. He owned his own club called Velocity VBC from 2005-2011. Morgan takes on the hefty role of coaching both indoor and beach volleyball at SoCal as well as running a number of our weekend beach tournaments. He looks forward to the growth of the beach center and the upcoming indoor season!

Natalie Winn

A former SoCal player, Natalie pursued her dream of playing college volleyball at Widener University as an Outside/Middle Blocker. Natalie is a graduated with her Bachelors in Hospitality and Tourism Management, with a Minor in Event Management. Aside from living in Philadelphia to attend Widener, Natalie graduated from Mission Hills High School and has lived in San Marcos her whole life. Some highlights of Natalie's college experience were creating lasting friendships with her team mates, studying abroad for 6 months in Spain and being a part of the Eagles first ever Super Bowl win! Natalie can be described by her friends and family as someone who loves to have fun and be goofy but also knows how to handle business. She is most looking forward to building relationships with the families at SoCal.

Rachael Cooke

Rachael has been with Socal volleyball for over 7 years. She played on their competitive travel teams from her freshman year of high school until she graduated. She started practicing at SoCal at age 12. She played four years at Mission Hills High school as well as her club experience at SoCal. She furthered her volleyball skills by continuing to play at Palomar college, for their indoor and beach team. Rachael was rotated between outside, middle and opposite positions throughout club and high school. At Palomar, she started as a Middle Blocker. Currently, she is still attending Palomar as well as playing volleyball and has been a Local clinic and head coach for the 2022 season. Being a younger coach, Rachael had been ecstatic to coach at SoCal is grateful for the opportunity to help further the knowledge of young athletes. She emphasizes instilling confidence and is extremely dedicated to furthering her coaching experiences at Socal Volleyball. Words to describe Rachael's coaching style; Motivating, understanding, and positive! Players always feel driven and motivated to do their best when they are being encouraged by their coach. Rachael helps push players to the best of their ability by providing helpful and positive feedback. She runs a practice with high expectations and encourages players to move at a fast pace. Rachael has chosen to coach at SoCal because she adored her club experience in high school. Socal Volleyball was where Rachael met a lot of friends, made a lot of memories, and gained a lot of confidence and hopes to pass on those same experiences to her teams. Rachael is grateful for the opportunity to give back by coaching and training young athletes in a positive, and inspiring environment to help them to reach their highest potential

Samantha Palmer

Sam started her coaching career in 2012 where she coached Elementary and Middle School volleyball which opened the door for her first year of club coaching! She has worked with many age groups since then running summer camps through her local community center for ages 6-14 and also coaching Frosh-soph and assisting Varsity for high school! She played college indoor and beach volleyball at Fullerton College and from there went on to play beach volleyball at Concordia University of Irvine. Her love for coaching and working with kids led her to earn her Bachelors Degree in Child Development. After graduating she continued coaching while also teaching Preschool for 4 years. Sam loves coaching 12 and under because she makes it her mission to 1. Help players improve their skills and 2. To enjoy their first years of playing so they take that love for the game into the next season and beyond! As a coach, Sam stresses that you should be ready to work hard with a good attitude when you step onto that court. She also believes that a good player should be respectful, responsible and should get excited about her teammates and her own successes! When Sam isn't coaching she is spending time with her husband and daughter finding fun things to do in their new home town of San Marcos!

Shannon Pearson

Players would describe Shannon ™s coaching style as motivating, with some "tough love," all while specializing in a coaching the person inside the athlete. She ™s known to draw on stories to teach values, likes to joke around sometimes with a twinge of dry midwestern sarcasm, and cares very deeply about every player and the sport of volleyball. Shannon spent her childhood in a small town in Ohio where she was involved in dance, playing percussion, performing onstage, and doing tech in the theater. She might be the only athlete from her high school to letter in 4 sports: Volleyball, Basketball, Softball, and Boys Tennis. Yes, you read that right. She proudly made the boys team because girls tennis played during the volleyball season! She often draws on this varied background to help relate to all kinds of players and help them to adjust their bodies to new techniques and form. Shannon graduated from The University of Cincinnati-College Conservatory of Music with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Electronic Media and a minor in German. She officiated volleyball and basketball all through college and continued to play competitively through the intramural program at the University of Cincinnati, where she won several championships on women ™s and coed teams. After finishing her teaching credential at CSUSM Shannon taught public high school. Shannon previously coached freshmen volleyball at Oceanside High School and is now currently a substitute teacher and an Airbnb host, in addition to her duties with SoCal.

Sherry Clouet

Sherry has a wide range of experience coaching volleyball. Sherry has spent time coaching college volleyball at Florida International University and Florida State University. While coaching collegiately, Sherry was also a Nike High Performance Instructor, Recruiting Coordinator, ran academic oversight, and was the Offensive Coordinator. As a collegiate player at Syracuse University and Florida State University, Sherry was three years All-Big East, one year All-ACC, GTE Academic All-American, Regional All-American, team captain and an NCAA Tournament Participant. Sherry is married to her husband Jason, and has two sons Kody and Kasey. Sherry is originally from Miami Lakes, Florida.

Sola Martin

Sola began her love for volleyball at a very young age while playing it with her family in the backyard of her childhood home. She again found a passion for it her freshman year of high school at Rancho Buena Vista. After playing four years of high school and club volleyball she was offered a scholarship to Pt. Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, CA. For 4 years she was the starting setter at Pt. Loma where she led her team 3 times to a 3rd place semi-final finish in the NAIA National tournament. At Pt. Loma she received many accolades including becoming a 3 time All American, GSAC Player of the Year, 3 time MVP and many others. Sola began coaching the 13 ™s team at North County VBC when she was 18 and continued coaching different 13,14 and 15 ™s team for North County VBC and SoCal VBC for the next 10 years. At SoCal she also assisted the 17 ™s team as a setters coach. Sola is now married with 4 amazing children. Now that her children are approaching the age she was when her passion for volleyball began she is excited and thankful for the opportunity to get back into the Volleyball arena. She is most looking forward to working with young players and passing on the fundamentals of a strong passionate player.

Tucker Hargraves

Three words to describe Tucker are: driven, passionate and goofy! Tucker started coaching in 2008 at Valencia High School for the Freshman Boys team. He continued his coaching career at Elite Volleyball Club with their Girls 15-2, 17-2 teams. Later, coaching at Warrior Volleyball Club's with their 18-1, 16-1 and 18-2 teams. He continues his love for coaching at the University of Saint Katherine's while joining us at SoCal! Players describe his coaching style as: tough and fair. Tucker encourages all players to work smarter and put their best foot forward while giving everyone a fair chance to play. Tucker focussed on cross training players in each position to provide valuable insight into their abilities and for them to reach their potential. Tuckers playing experience began at Valencia High School in Valencia, CA from 2005-2007. He was part of the foothill league championship program and title winning teams during the 2006 and 2007 seasons. He was also part of the CIF SS Playoffs, finalists and runners-up during those seasons. Tucker describes himself as a, "classically trained middle blocker who transitioned to being a right side attacker." Tucker continued his volleyball career into the collegiate level and played for San Diego Mesa College in 2014-2015 as the third middle blocker/second right side attacker. He earned a bronze medal in AA division at the 2014 Gay Games held in Cleveland, Ohio before continuing on to play for the University of Saint Katherine's during the inaugural men's volleyball season spring 2018. Tucker chose to continue his coaching career at SoCal VBC because, "I felt a sense of warmth when I first participated at an open gym at SoCal years ago and I really felt it was a great facility. I have the honor of being friends with former players from the club program who were part of building the Women's Volleyball program at USK and when I asked how they liked coaching at SoCal, they only had good things to say. I would love to be a part of a program where I can grow as a coach and expand even further on my knowledge of the game, while also sharing what I know with the next generation of athletes."
