MERVYN JACOBSON

Mervyn Jacobson was born in Melbourne, Australia in 1942. He attended Mount Scopus College for high school where he excelled in academics and sports graduating with honors. Mervyn earned the prestigious Australian Commonwealth Government Scholarship - which paid for all fees for his university education. He attended the University of Melbourne Medical School and graduated M.B., B.S. in 1965. He then worked for a year as a hospital resident and subsequently set up a private practice in Melbourne in 1967. In 1971 he subscribed to a new medical service that had just become available to doctors in Australia. Mervyn was invited to join their management team after providing them with an insightful assessment about how their service could be improved.
