The first of its kind, the MIDLANDS UK FORUM FOR GROWTH 2020, is the official INVESTMENT CONFERENCE FOR THE MIDLANDS. This 'economic growth' conference is led by England's leading pan-regional partnership, the Midlands Engine Partnership, and brings together more than 150 Public and Private sector organisations from across the Midlands, the UK and overseas, to achieve the region's vision for greater sustainable growth and economic prosperity... The Midlands is home to almost 11 million people - more than Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales combined. It is responsible for 22% of England's exports, generates £239 billion for the UK economy each year and has an economy the size of Denmark. It is a region that has seen significant growth over the past five years, but the potential for more is huge.
