Brian Murray

Click the link below to see Brian's video introduction. Brian Murray CPA/ABV, CVA (Accredited in Business Valuation, Certified Valuation Analyst) has been in public accounting since 1997. Prior to that he was in finance at Kimberly-Clark Corp., audit at M&I Bank Corp., and accounting manager at Browning-Ferris Ind. Brian's areas of specailty are estate and trust tax and business valuation. Brian's community involvement includes (previously) serving as Treasurer of the Salvation Army Fox Cities, serving on the Board of Directors of the Fox Valley Humane Society, and serving on the Board of Directors of Big Brothers/Big Sisters. Brian also volunteered as a Big Brother for four years, and for United Way's fundraising campaign for multiple years. Brian and his family live in Appleton. Donna Steffen

Donna is a 1996 graduate of Hortonville High School and a 1997 graduate of Fox Valley Technical College. She graduated from Fox Valley Technical College with an Accounting Assistant diploma and was a 1997 Star Award Nominee. Donna began working for Murray & Roberts CPA Firm SC in 1998 and previously worked in the banking industry. She specializes in accounting, payroll and sales tax and has worked extensively with QuickBooks. Over the years of working for Murray & Roberts CPA Firm SC she has had the opportunity to take on a variety of tasks including being a receptionist and office manager. Donna resides in Appleton.

Jake Schnese

Jake Schnese, CPA graduated from Appleton East High School in 2012 and the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 2017, where he double majored in Accounting and Finance. He obtained his CPA certification and has been in public accounting since 2017. Previously, Jake was a tax manager with Baker Tilly US, LLP focusing on corporate and individual taxation within the construction and real estate industry. He specializes in complex real estate transactions and multi-state tax filings. Jake is always eager to assist clients in understanding the implications of tax law in order to achieve their corporate and personal financial goals. Jake is married and currently resides in Neenah. In their spare time, they enjoy going on hikes with their Husky (Maya) and doing fix up projects to their home. Jake is also an avid baseball fan and enjoys tuning into Brewers' games.

Jason Buss

Jason, a native to the Fox Valley, is to our team as a "utility in-fielder" is to a baseball team. Over the past year our team has seen a lot of growth and movement. Allowing our team to focus on the core of our business and what we do really well is important, that is where his support is integral and valued. During his time with our team, he has handled everything ranging from project management to that of both team and client support. His education includes UW Oshkosh and Brown College. When he is not in the office supporting our team or clientele, he enjoys video production and acting. You might even see him in the occasional commercial.

Jessica Udelhofen

Jessica has been in the public accounting industry since 2003. A local to the area, Jessica graduated from Oshkosh North in 1995 and relocated to the East Coast in 2001, where she embarked on her professional journey in the accounting industry. After graduating with her Associates degree in 2011, she decided to return to school and complete her Bachelor's degree in 2016 from the University of Maryland. After many years out East and following her husband through his Military career they decided to move back home. Jessica resides in Neenah with her husband of 20 years, and recently joined the empty nesters club. She has previously worked as the treasurer for the West Virginia Military Readiness program.

Julie Braun

Julie is a graduate of Appleton High School East. Healthcare was the direction taken at Fox Valley Technical College where nursing and medical transcription took the forefront of her career. This career path turned into 25+ years of customer service, leadership and operations management experience with a handful of years wearing a human resources administrator hat. In addition, Julie specialized and managed payroll services. Julie resides in Fremont with her family on Lake Poygan. Julie enjoys ATV'ing, boating, Green Bay Packers, knitting, beading and cheering for her husband who races local asphalt tracks.

Neal Roberts

He passed the November 1990 CPA exam. He has worked exclusively with small business and individual clients his entire career. An emphasis on tax planning has always been his priority. Neal helps with the challenges of today while keeping an eye toward the future. He specializes in retirement planning and is familiar with multiple plan types to help small business and individual clients. Accounting system design and support are also areas of expertise. He has sat on several different local area boards over his career, and currently is a board member at Fox Valley Golf Club. He is also the treasurer for Mission: Home, and the MM Muskie Club. Paula Lietzke

Paula has been with MRO since 2014. She holds a Business/Accounting Degree from the University of Washington. After a few years working in industry, she chose to raise her family and spend her time volunteering with multiple organizations. Originally from Everett, Washington, she's also lived in Ogden, Utah and now resides Grand Chute with her husband. She enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, and creating adventures. Robert Nenahlo

Bob joined the Murray & Roberts team on January 1, 2020 after being a sole-practitioner for 39 years. Bob graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire in 1973 and passed the CPA exam in November of that year. After graduation he worked for 4 years at Milwaukee CPA firm Touche, Ross & Co. in the audit department, serving manufacturing, hospital, and government clients. In 1977 he moved to Appleton to build an internal audit department at Presto Products. In 1978 he returned public accounting with a regional cpa firm based in Shawano. On July 1, 1981 he started his own CPA firm focusing on small business services and individual taxation.

Susan Burroughs

Susan joined the MRO team in 2018 after retiring with 40+ years of work experience. Her career included customer service, retail, production, working with budgets, safety, management of timekeeping for a large organization, and several other management positions. In her retirement she enjoys working a couple days per week processing payroll for MRO, spending time with family and friends, gardening, crocheting, reading and going for walks. ...

Susan Kilsdonk

Click the link below to see Susan's video introduction. Susan Kilsdonk EA is a graduate of Kimberly High School in Kimberly, WI. She started working for MRO in 1999 as a tax assistant. Since then she has continually increased her expertise in individual income tax through education and practice. Sue also performs some business accounting functions. Sue passed the Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (EA) exam in December of 2011. Sue has been a volunteer for the Kimberly Area Youth Basketball Club for more than thirteen years, as well as many other Kimberly area youth sports. Sue and her family live in Kimberly, WI.

Tanya Otto

Tanya is a 1992 graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point. Her entire career has been in public accounting and has focused on small business tax and consulting. She works with clients in diverse industries including manufacturing, construction , and retail. Tanya's goal is to assist closely held business owners' with proactive corporate and individual tax planning to achieve their goals while keeping current with changing tax regulations. She also does training with clients using Quickbooks in order to help them improve their internal efficiency and understanding of their financial information. Tanya has served on the Board of Leaven and the Fox Cities Chamber Small Business Committee and is currently a member of Women In Management Fox Cities Chapter. Tanya and her family live in Appleton.

Travis Roberts

Travis Roberts CPA started his accounting practice in 1974, and became Roberts & Roberts in 1989 when his son Neal Roberts joined the firm. Murray CPA Firm S.C., located in Appleton, WI, started business in 1997. It grew by acquiring the accounting and payroll services practice of Dennis Penney EA in 1998, and the tax practice of Dennis Penney EA in 2000. Murray CPA Firm SC merged with the firm of Roberts & Roberts in 2006, and became Murray & Roberts CPA Firm SC. Murray & Roberts continued to grow by acquiring the tax and accounting practice of Thomas McLaughlin in 2009. In December 2015 Bottom Line Solutions, LLC merged with Murray & Roberts, and small business expert Valecia Whitney CPA became an important new team member. On January 1, 2020 Robert Nenahlo CPA, a 39 year veteran in public accounting and an expert in small business taxation, became our newest team member by merging his practice with Murray & Roberts.
