Alan J. Mittelman is the Founder, CEO and President of SunTiger, Inc., dba Eagle Eyes Optics. SunTiger® manufactures the Eagle Eyes® brand of sunglasses that are sold online, in leading catalogs and by distributors worldwide. A pioneering product in direct-response television commercials, Eagle Eyes High Performance Eyewear was developed from original NASA optic technology and is the only sunglass lens in the world certified for UVR and blue-light protection and has been honored with the prestigious Space Foundation Technology Hall of Fame Award. It was in the late 1980's that Mr. Mittelman acquired the intellectual property that became the foundation of SunTiger and led to extensive involvement in all aspects of direct response marketing. After refining the sun lens technology, utilizing SunTiger's U.S. and Japanese patents, Mr. Mittelman negotiated a manufacturing/distribution relationship with Mitsubishi Gas Chemical (MGC), Japan. Within two years, his wholly-owned company in Japan became the world's largest manufacturer/distributor of polarized polycarbonate lenses to the sunglass industry. Mr. Mittelman created the Eagle Eyes Optics brand of sunglasses, based on the NASA space technology originally developed for SunTiger, and has continued to enrich and market the brand, revolutionize the capabilities of eyewear protection, and keep up with current consumer demands for style and function.

Amir R. Blachman

Amir R. Blachman is the VP of Strategic Development at Axiom Space. A native of Los Angeles, Mr. Blachman earned his B.A. in psychology from the University of California at Santa Barbara and an M.B.A. from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. He is also a graduate of the school's Corporate Governance Program. Mr. Blachman is an instrument-rated pilot and serves on the Board of Advisors of Bye Aerospace, the leading electric aircraft company. Mr. Blachman, who started his career as an air force instructor, gained 15 years' experience growing young companies and taking them through acquisition and IPO. He later switched to the investor side of the table, serving as Managing Director of Space Angels. There, he and his partners re-launched the company, growing its customer base to over 100 angel investors in ten countries and investing in companies such as Astrobotic, Atlas Space Operations, Planet Labs and Planetary Resources. In 2016 Mr. Blachman joined Axiom Space, building the world's first commercial space station. He supports Axiom through formation of the company's financial strategy and establishing relationships with some of the world's most influential investors. He also works with the company's team of astronauts and station operators to support the growing customer base of countries, researchers and tourists. Mr. Blachman serves as an interface between the space and finance industries. He is frequently featured in publications such as Bloomberg, SpaceNews and the Financial Times and at international finance forums. Brian Weimer

Chris Moran

Harry reports to Center management and serves as the principal advisor to the Center leadership on matters concerning Center-wide technology development and leverage. His duties include representation on the Agency-wide Center Chief Technologist's Council and management of the Center Innovation Fund, and he also serves as Center point-of-contact to the Office of the Chief Technologist (OCT). In addition to his role as the CCT, Harry continues to serve as the Senior Technology Officer for the STP within OCT. In this role he serves as the chief technologist for the 10 programs within STP, and is a member of the OCT senior leadership team. Previously, Harry was the Deputy Director of the Game Changing Technology Division at NASA Headquarters. While at Ames, he was the Deputy Director of the Entry Systems and Technology Division and was responsible for managing the entire range of entry system technology developments from foundational research on thermal protection materials development, to thermal protection system design, development, testing and evaluation for flight systems such as Mars Science Laboratory and Orion. In addition, he served as the Branch Chief of the Nanotechnology Branch at Ames and the program manager for the Bio-nano project within the Computing, Information and Communications Technology program. Harry received his PhD from Indiana University in Chemical Physics and has published approximately 190 papers in computational chemistry.

Ed Rosenthal is Founder and Chairman of the Board of Florikan ESA With the research assistance of NASA Kennedy Space Center and Florida's Space Alliance Technology Outreach Program, Ed is the inventor of Florikan Controlled Release (CRF) Fertilizer, as well as of Staged Nutrient Release (SNR) fertilizer. Both Ed Rosenthal as individual and the SNR fertilizer technology are being inducted into the 2017 Space Technology Hall of Fame by Space Foundation. Florikan SNR and Florikan CRF partner with the Space Foundation through the Space Certification program for Technology product. As well, Ed's Student, Teacher and Community Educational Outreach program is a Certified Space Education program. This outreach program educates students around the country and the world about NASA Veggie program. After several years of rigorous research, Florikan CRF was selected by Space Plant Biology program (NASA KSC) as the controlled release fertilizer product to grow vegetables on the International Space Station for our astronauts. Using Florikan Controlled Release Fertilizers, NASA KSC Space Plant Biology has grown three crops of Outredeous red romaine lettuce and one crop of Tokyo Bekana cabbage on the ISS. Next step for Space Plant Biology with Florikan CRF is included in production grow boxes on APH (Advanced Plant Habitat) and eventually for the "journey to Mars". Ed and his wife Betty founded Florikan ESA in 1982. Today their sons Eric and Jonathan are second generation owners of the company. As a further introduction, we cannot separate Ed Rosenthal and Florikan achievements. Florikan is 35 year old Controlled Release Fertilizer manufacturing company with a legacy of business success and awards for ethics. Edward Swallow

Chuck has been a lawyer for Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company since 1999. Before joining LMSSC, he was General Counsel for two Lockheed Martin companies in Houston, Texas, involved in the space and environmental remediation businesses. He began his career with Lockheed Martin in Marietta, Georgia, in 1981, as an attorney for Lockheed Martin's Aeronautical Systems Company. During his career he has advised clients on a wide range of legal topics, including space law, international transactions, commercial contracts, litigation, environmental, employment and intellectual property law. Chuck graduated from Emory University with a BA degree, and received a JD degree from Cumberland School of Law. Before joining Lockheed Martin, he was an attorney for the United States Army Missile Command in Huntsville, Alabama, specializing in contract litigation. Chuck is a member of the Texas Bar Association, and has been licensed to practice law in Georgia, Alabama and California. Mr. Gregory D. Winfree was appointed Agency Director of the Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI) on December 15, 2016. TTI is a state agency and the largest and most comprehensive higher education-affiliated transportation research center in the United States. The Institute was formed by The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents in 1950 to conduct research for the Texas Highway Department-now the Texas Department of Transportation. Today, TTI research projects total about $61 million annually for about 200 sponsors at all levels of government and the private sector. The technologies and strategies developed at the Institute have saved the state and nation thousands of lives and billions of dollars. Winfree joined the U.S. Department of Transportation's Office of the Assistant Secretary for Research and Technology in March 2010 as Chief Counsel and was later sworn in as the Assistant Secretary in January 2014. During his tenure, Winfree also served as Deputy Administrator and Administrator of a predecessor agency, the Research and Innovative Technology Administration (RITA). As Assistant Secretary, he was the senior executive responsible for a $450 million budget and oversaw more than 1,000 scientific, data analysis and administrative staff members who support USDOT's multi-modal transportation initiatives. The program offices under his purview included: the John A. An internationally known pediatric surgeon and scientist, Dr. Kim will implement the institute's vision of innovative, multidisciplinary research, and development in pediatric surgery. In addition to overseeing the institute, Dr. Kim's research focuses on the development of intelligent surgical tools, including image guidance and robotics; smarter simulation technologies; and the potential of imaging technologies such as high frequency/intensity-focused ultrasound (HIFU) as non-invasive alternatives to conventional surgery. He is the lead for FDA funded National Capital Consortium for Pediatric Device Innovation (NCC-PDI). He collaborates closely with the Sheikh Zayed Institute's bioengineering team to further explore the possibilities in preventive/regenerative medicine, with an eye on developing personalized medicine for children. Dr. Kim joined Children's National from the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Ontario, a national and international leading institution in pediatric research and care. There, he served as a general neonatal and thoracic surgeon, founding lead for the Centre for Image-Guided Innovation and Therapeutic Intervention (CIGITI), and senior associate scientist in the hospital's research institute. His clinical specialties are complex surgical airway reconstructions, advanced minimally invasive surgery, and vascular reconstructive surgery for hepatobiliary diseases in children. Dr. Kim received his medical training, including the distinction of Master of Surgery, at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He completed his surgical residency training at the University of Toronto as well as his fellowship in pediatric surgery at the University's Hospital for Sick Children.
