Steamboat Engines.co.uk is a subsidiary of Manor Farm Engineering. Manor Farm Engineering was set up in 2002 by Kevin Slater after 35+ years of experience gained in solving daily technical problems in the Marine Engineering world. Having always had a particular interest in anything 'steam' related and having served on steam powered ships from small (19,000ton) 'trampers' to large (300,000+tons) 'supertankers' getting involved with steam launches seemed almost inevitable. Working with the Steamboat Association of Great Britain (SBA) and Steamboat Association Services Ltd. to provide surveys to SBA members introduced Kevin to the world of steamboating - this in turn led to requests to assist with maintenance, which led to engine build requests, which led to where we are today - providing all sorts of services to the steamboating world...
