Carol Krause works closely with estate administration attorneys Greta Roemer Lewis and Adam Russell on estate administration, probate, and trust administration, including real estate and guardianship matters. Her experience in these areas includes preparation of probate pleadings, and preparation of personal, estate, and fiduciary tax returns. She also assists the estate planning and estate administration in the transferring of assets. Carol joined THK Law in 2001 as an administrative assistant while earning her paralegal degree which she received in 2003.

Eric W. Seigel

Eric W. Seigel is a Partner with THK Law, LLP, and focuses his practice on serving businesses and their owners in the areas of general business counsel, business formation, business planning and strategy, business transactions, family-owned businesses, and exit and succession planning. Eric is a lifelong resident of the Michiana area and has been with the firm since his graduation from Notre Dame Law School in 1999. He has been in practice for over twenty years, is active in firm management, and serves as one of the firm's representatives to LawPact, an international non-profit association of independent business law firms that assists member firms in pursuing excellence in client service and firm management. Prior to law school, Eric earned a B.A. in Business Administration from Michigan State University and then spent several years running his family's local trucking business serving the Elkhart, Indiana vehicle transportation market. With his business degree, hands-on business leadership experience, and knowledge of business law, Eric brings a deeper understanding of his client's legal needs. He has counseled numerous clients in asset and stock purchase and sale transactions and acts as general legal counsel to many closely-held and owner-managed businesses, including many that are family-owned. He also regularly helps clients with exit and succession planning and with emergency continuity planning and has served as a panel presenter at numerous exit and succession planning seminars in the Michiana area.

Greta Roemer Lewis

Greta grew up in a large family in South Bend, IN, and knew she wanted to stay in the area after law school to work with her father, Chuck Roemer, in his law practice. She and her husband, Jay (who is a partner at THK as well) delight in their three "adulting" children. Within the office, Greta is appreciated for her wonderful banana bread which she brings in frequently. In college, she played tennis for Notre Dame but now prefers yoga and biking. She spends her extra time these days trying out "whole food plant-based recipes" and feeding them to family and friends.

Kyle Chamberlin joined THK Law, LLP in 2022 as an of counsel attorney on the business counsel team. His practice focuses on advising owners and executives of locally-owned businesses, with deep experience representing clients engaged in professional service industries. Prior to joining THK, Chamberlin led the legal and risk management functions for a regional commercial real estate services provider, where he served as a member of the executive team. He previously served as in-house counsel to an automotive dealership group with operations throughout the Midwest. He is a graduate of Leadership South Bend/Mishawaka Class 39, a member of the Michiana Forty Under 40 class of 2014, and the 2020 recipient of the South Bend Regional Chamber's Outstanding Young Business Leader award.

Malcolm J. Tuesley

Malcolm (Mick) J. Tuesley has committed his forty-year law career to business families and individuals, protecting their assets and helping them plan for the future. He complements his skills in business law, estate planning and probate with in-depth tax knowledge. Mick's corporate, business and real estate law practice enhances his ability to advise business clients in creating plans best suited for their particular situation and goals. Prior to forming Tuesley & Hall, Mick practiced successfully as a sole practitioner in a small firm. Early in his private practice he served as an administrative law judge for the Indiana Department of Workforce Development. He began his law career in the Office of the Attorney General, representing the Indiana Department of Revenue. Mick Tuesley was born and raised in South Bend, Indiana. He and his wife, Kathy met at Indiana University and returned to South Bend after he finished law school there. They have grown twin sons and two daughters. Mick's enthusiasm for his work rubbed off on his sons who are both busy with their respective careers as attorneys. All of their children except one have returned to live and raise their families in the area. Mick has demonstrated a commitment to his community through his ongoing leadership and generosity. He is a founding member of the Penn-Harris Madison Education Foundation and was instrumental in establishing the operation of this fund for the school corporation. He has supported the Northern Indiana Center for History for many years and was rewarded by the Center with an honorary board membership, where he remains active on the Center Foundation board. In 2013, Mick and Kathy were welcomed into the Indiana University President's Circle for their steadfast generosity and the impact they have made at their alma mater. Without a doubt, Mick's favorite pastime is fishing. Whenever he has a free hour or two, Mick can be found either on the end of his pier or on one of the many small lakes in southwestern Lower Michigan fishing for bluegills. He and his family also manage to get to their lake house in northern Michigan a few times a year to fish for walleye. His generosity knows no bounds when it comes to providing fresh, cleaned fish for his family, friends, and neighbors. And, there is nothing Mick enjoys more than sharing his fishing stories.

Michael J. Hays

Michael Hays joined THK Law, LLP, in January 2012 as a seasoned litigator. He brings more than two decades of litigation and counseling experience to the firm, having worked in both the private sector and for a large national law firm. Immediately prior to joining THK Law, Michael served as Senior Counsel for Monaco RV, LLC, where he oversaw litigation nationwide and provided day-to-day counsel regarding employment law, regulatory compliance, and business transactions. Michael draws on his time inside a business to bring a practical approach to assisting clients. His experience includes: bench and jury trials in a variety of commercial, employment, and product liability disputes; participation in defense of a multi-district litigation proceeding involving thousands of plaintiffs and more than sixty defendants in four states; counseling in several SBA loan closings and numerous business transactions; drafting and reviewing hundreds of employment policies; advising both employers and executive employees in the drafting and litigation of non-compete and severance agreements.

Thomas J. Hall

Tom Hall has built his career on service to the business community, especially as counsel to many of the area's entrepreneurs. Tom has over 40 years of experience in dealing with the day-to-day and transactional legal needs of owner-managed businesses. He has also served as counsel in numerous asset and stock purchase transactions involving small-to-mid-sized, closely-held companies having annual sales ranging from $5 million to $150 million. Tom's counseling experience spans a broad range of the economy, including manufacturing, distribution and service industries. He regularly assists his clients in their business law needs in relation to contracts, transactions, employment and benefits issues, and tax planning for corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, family limited partnerships, and family foundations. In addition, he counsels business owners regarding exit and succession planning. Tom long ago achieved an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest possible rating granted for competency and ethics in law. In 2004, he was designated an Indiana Super Lawyer in the Closely-Held Businesses practice area. Lawyers awarded this designation are selected by their peers throughout the state. Tom has been a member of the BAC of the School of Business and Economics at Indiana University, South Bend, from 2007-2018.
