Dr Emma Schroeder

Biography Dr Schroeder is a Consultant Chartered Clinical Psychologist with over 25 years of experience working within the field of mental health. Dr Schroeder currently works in the NHS as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist leading a busy older peoples' secondary care psychological therapy service, and since 2009 has also worked in private practice. Dr Schroeder specialises in psychological assessment and the treatment of adults and older adults with a wide range of difficulties, including low mood and depression, anxiety, trauma-related difficulties including PTSD, intrusive thoughts and anxiety, bereavement, grief, and loss. Dr Schroeder prides herself on being a warm and engaged clinician and is trained in a range of evidence-based psychological interventions such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). Dr Schroeder is an accredited EMDR therapist working towards gaining her EMDR Consultant grade. Dr Schroeder is fully registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) the national regulator of health and care professions in the UK. Dr Hannah Butler-Coyne

Biography Dr Hannah Butler-Coyne is an HCPC Registered and British Psychological Society Chartered Clinical Psychologist working in the NHS and private practice with children, adults and families experiencing a range of mental health difficulties. Hannah works with individuals experiencing a range of difficulties including depression, anxiety, trauma experiences and behaviour that challenges, offering comprehensive assessment, formulation and an integrative psychological approach utilising a range of therapeutic approaches (such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing). Within her independent practice, Hannah specialises in the application of clinical psychology within the sport setting, supporting athletes and sportspeople to enhance performance, focus, confidence and/or manage mental health difficulties. Hannah provides consultation, assessments, specialist therapy, workshops, supervision of practitioners and training within sport settings. Hannah is currently en route to becoming one of a handful of Clinical Psychologists in the country dual trained in both the clinical and sport psychology domains. She is a Lecturer at the University of Central Lancashire, visiting Lecturer on a number of courses in various universities and colleges in the North West, regularly presents research at national conferences and publishes work in academic journals.

Dr Hayley Saunders

Biography Dr Saunders is a fully qualified Chartered Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years experience of working both in the NHS and Private sector. She has experience of undergoing training and working with a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Psycho-dynamically informed therapy, CBT, Compassionate Focused Therapy, Mentalisation Based Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Acceptance and Mindfulness Therapy. She has extensive experience of working with adults with severe and complex emotional difficulties, specialising in trauma, emotional, physical and sexual abuse and personality disorders. She has also worked in a range of settings including child and adolescent mental health services.

Dr Jane Lawton

Biography Dr Jane Lawton has over fifteen years of experience working within NHS adult services as well as time spent working abroad. Jane is a lecturer in Clinical Psychology at the University of Central Lancashire and currently works within NHS Drug and Alcohol Services. Jane has previously worked alongside police and social care staff in Complex safeguarding teams as well as adult mental health teams. Jane has been offering therapy privately since 2016 to adults with a range of difficulties and aims to offer a tailored, compassionate approach.

Dr Jennifer Vaughan

Biography Jennifer is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist who qualified in 2011 and works with adults experiencing a range of mental health and/or physical health difficulties. She has worked in a range of settings, including primary care, secondary care, inpatient (mental health and physical health hospital settings) and forensic mental health services. She has also held a Clinical Lead role within an NHS setting. Jennifer has experience in consultation, supervision and teaching/training. She is Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered and a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS). She has enhanced Disclosure and Barring (DBS) clearance.

Dr Kasia Wilk

Biography Dr Kasia Wilk is a Chartered Counselling Psychologist, with over 15 years of international experience working within the helping professions, including NHS primary care, the University of Manchester Counselling Service, private practice, and social care settings. Her international experience has also extended to working in Canada and Kenya doing advocacy and providing psychosocial support across a range of settings before qualifying as a Counselling Psychologist. Kasia's expertise extends to psychological assessments, provision of evidence-based therapies, and delivering training on stress management within the corporate sector. She uses a pluralistic approach integrating models of person-centred, cognitive behavioural, solution-focused, compassion-focused, acceptance and commitment, or mindfulness-based approaches depending on what is most effective and helpful. She has experience working with adults and couples presenting with various psychological difficulties, and her areas of interest include self-worth and self-esteem issues, depression, anxiety, bereavement, trauma, stress management, phobias, relationship and interpersonal conflicts, and life coaching.

Dr Kelly Sweeney

Biography Dr Kelly Sweeney is a Consultant clinical psychologist based in North Manchester. She worked in the NHS for 17 years in forensic and adolescent services. She now works as the Clinical and Governance lead in a private looked after child (LAC) residential service. In her independent practice she specialises in working with older children, adolescents and adults and has an interest in working with anxiety, stress and the development of identity and personality in young people. She uses an integrative psychological approach to treatment drawing on modalities such as CBT, Compassion focussed therapy, Dialectical behaviour therapy and EMDR. Kelly continues to complete assessments for Family Courts and Social Care around placement and intervention planning, risk of harm to self and others and risk assessments of parents/carers.

Dr Parneet Chahal

Biography Dr. Chahal qualified as a Chartered Counselling Psychologist in 2014 and has since been working in the NHS and Social Care with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing mental health difficulties. She currently works in the NHS as a Principal Counselling Psychologist in a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency Family Court Assessment Team undertaking comprehensive psychological assessments of children, adolescents, adults, and families in court proceedings, alongside working as an independent Chartered Counselling Psychologist in private practice. Dr. Chahal has a special interest in working with trauma and attachment difficulties and has maintained her skills and experience in working with children, adolescents, and adults. She is able to provide evidence-based interventions for a range of emotional and mental health

Dr Ruth Watson

Biography Dr Watson currently works as a Clinical Psychologist within NHS Older Adult Psychology Service and has worked in private practice across Greater Manchester since 2008. She enjoys working with a variety of client issues including depression, anxiety, chronic pain, dementia, PTSD and behaviour that challenges. She provides individual therapeutic packages for clients, in addition to neuropsychological assessments and consultation to health professionals and carers. She offers a range of therapeutic approaches including CBT, EMDR, Cognitive-analytic, Systemic and Behavioural elements. Dr Watson frequently provides training packages to other health professionals and regularly teaches on the Manchester University Clinical Psychology doctorate course. She has an interest in cognitive-analytic models of therapy and working with trauma. She completed her EMDR training in 2013 and is currently completing a skills-based certificate in using Cognitive-Analytic Therapy with complex cases.
