In addition to practicing law for over 25 years, Mr. Kamarei is an author, inventor, and entrepreneur. He has successfully litigated several jury and non-jury trials as well as arbitrations and mediations in consumer law cases and commercial transactions. He has represented clients in large disputes in various jurisdictions, including Northern and Southern California, Wisconsin, Florida, Montana, Texas, Maryland, Utah, and New Jersey. Additionally, Mr. Kamarei has successfully argued before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and California Appellate Courts reversing trial court judgments in published decisions. Mr. Kamarei is a co-author of a suite of comprehensive online training and educational materials, as well as lawsuit prevention software. Mr. Kamarei regularly speaks across the country on issues related to the auto industry.
Mr. Rakhshanifar is well experienced in civil litigation, automotive dealership representation, settlement negotiations, automotive compliance and training, and has litigated several bench and jury trials, and arbitration hearings. He is also recognized as an experienced auto dealer attorney with a demonstrated history of defending independent auto dealerships across California, as well as multi-franchise new car dealer groups at both bench and jury trials. Mr. Rakhshanifar has also defended automobile dealers in employment cases. In addition to his legal experience, he has a strong background in auto dealer operations and sales. Ms. Cook has spent most of the past two decades representing automobile dealers. Most recently, she was the Vice President and Chief Legal Officer for Off Lease Only LLC, one of the largest privately-owned independent dealerships in the United States, having sold over 47,000 vehicles in 2019. Prior to that, Ms. Cook oversaw complex commercial litigation, consumer, and intellectual property cases. Ms. Cook has streamlined legal and compliance processes within dealerships and established strong working relationships with state and local regulators. She is also currently the Executive Director for the Florida Independent Dealer Association, and the Compliance advisor to the Florida RV Trade Association. Ms. Cook regularly speaks across the country on issues related to the auto industry.
Mr. Olives is an experienced litigator with trial and appellate practice experience both in California state courts and federal courts. In addition to being a car enthusiast, he is a decorated U.S. Army veteran and former law professor, authoring multiple peer-reviewed academic articles as well as a book. Mr. Olives has litigated consumer cases in Court and in Arbitration and is well familiar with the CLRA and Song Beverly claims. Mr. Olives is well versed in Spanish and taught law in Mexico.
Mrs. Langston primarily assists in defending both small and large independent dealerships in legal disputes and litigation as well as providing support to the Florida Independent Automobile Dealers Association.
Ms. Galper received her Juris Doctorate from University of Miami School of Law. During her time in law school, she had the opportunity to work for Paramount Global (f/k/a ViacomCBS) in their Business & Legal Affairs Division where she focused on IP law, Business Strategy, and Emerging Technologies. She continued her in-house work at Off Lease Only where she participated in litigation, compliance and transactional legal work. As a law clerk, Ms. Galper's experience includes commercial contracts and litigation, auto dealer disputes, IP law (copyright & trademark), as well as business and compliance strategy.
