Clouds Rest is a technology-driven financial services and investing platform built to transparently and accurately price environmental externalities in order to mobilize more capital to fight climate change... The world economy produces over 52 gigatons of CO2e emissions 1. At $50 per ton, that's a $2.5T annual liability that needs to be properly priced, hedged, and ultimately mitigated. We believe the first step is to accurately account and price these emissions, and we're building the infrastructure to do just that, what we call the Climate Cloud TM, an institutional investment platform built from the ground up to price, trade, and custody environmental assets... We're founded by a team of investors and technologists with decades of experience in environmental markets. We've traded carbon, RECs, RINs, and LCFS; built project development companies; and pioneered many early and novel pathways under various compliance programs.
