Incorporated in 2012 as a company limited by shares, Hofokam is a non-deposit taking Microfinance institution regulated by Uganda microfinance regulatory authority (UMRA) founded in 2003 by the catholic dioceses of Hoima, Fort Portal and Kasese with Headquarters at Plot 21 Lugard Road, Fort Portal city Uganda... Prior to transformation into a company limited by shares in 2012, Hofokam operated as a company limited by guarantee from 2003 to 2011 and has continued to operate with Headquarters at Plot 21 Lugard Road, Fort Portal Tourism City.
