Andrew Frazier

Andrew is a seasoned engineering executive with a proven history of building and leading early-stage teams from conceptual design to production. Prior to Aerin Medical, Andrew held management positions at ArthroCare Sports Medicine, Aspire Medical, and Appriva Medical. Andrew is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's Biomedical Engineering department and has designed surgical instruments and implants for Guidant, Intuitive Surgical, and Cardica prior to entering management.

Bill McClellan - CFO

Bill McClellan is an experienced finance executive and CFO. Prior to Aerin Medical, Bill served as CFO and Executive VP of Finance for On-X Life Technologies, Inc., a heart surgery medical device company which was sold to CryoLife in 2016. Mr. McClellan currently serves on the boards of Apollo Endosurgery Inc. and Reata Pharmaceuticals Inc., both publicly traded companies, and chairs their Audit Committees. Early in his career, he spent nine years specializing in healthcare with the public accounting firm PriceWaterhouseCoopers (formerly Price Waterhouse), followed by executive management positions with PhyCor, Inc., Physicians Trust, Inc., US Orthopedics, Inc., and Acxiom Corporation. Bill is a graduate of Abilene Christian University and a Certified Public Accountant.

Dr. Scott Wolf - Founder

Dr. Scott Wolf is a prolific medical device entrepreneur across a broad range of therapeutic areas. Scott founded Aerin Medical to create non-surgical therapies to meet the enormous need of patients with the most common nasal airway problems, including nasal obstruction. Prior to founding Aerin Medical, Scott founded Zeltiq Aesthetics, the maker of CoolSculpting, the leading non-invasive method of fat reduction for body sculpting. Scott's other startups include Endogastric Solutions and Cardiac Dimensions. Scott was previously a partner at Prospect Venture Partners and a Vice President at Frazier Healthcare Ventures, both leading life science venture capital firms. Scott received his M.D. from George Washington University and his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.

Fred Dinger - COO

Fred Dinger has over 25 years of experience with both large and small medical device companies. Prior to Aerin Medical, Fred served as president and Chief Executive Officer at ENTrigue Surgical, C2M Medical, and OsteoBiologics, and has held leadership positions with A-Med Systems, where he served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, as well as Linvatec Corporation and Xomed Surgical Products, where Fred served as Vice President of Research and Development. Fred earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and an M.S. in Engineering Management from the University of South Florida.

Lance Thrash

Lance Thrash has over 17 years of experience in health economics and reimbursement. Most recently, Lance built the HE&R strategy and team for ClariVein at Vascular Insights, where he secured a Category 1 CPT Code, significantly expanded commercial and Medicare coverage nationwide across the country, and collaborated in its $60 Million sale to Merit Medical in December of 2018. Prior to that, Lance held market access and payer relations roles at Acclarent and Conceptus, where he had numerous payer coverage wins and lobbied the Georgia legislature for the implementation of an 1115 Family Planning Waiver that extended family planning benefits to thousands of non-covered women in the state. Early in his career, Lance spent 6 years in sales at TAP Pharmaceuticals, where he won several top sales awards before beginning his journey into HE&R as a Managed Care Executive. Lance has a B.S. in Nursing from Jacksonville State University.

Matt Brokaw - CEO, President

Matt Brokaw has extensive leadership experience in building commercial businesses in ENT. His most recent roles include marketing and sales leadership at Tusker Medical (acquired by Smith+Nephew), Spirox (acquired by Entellus), Entellus Medical (acquired by Stryker), and Stryker, following experience at Acclarent (acquired by J&J), J&J, and Sonitus Medical. Prior to ENT, Matt was with Guidant Corporation in the Cardiac Surgery division and spent 5 years advising healthcare providers on strategy and technology investments at the Advisory Board Company in Washington, DC. Matt received an MBA from Stanford University and a B.A. from Williams College.

Natalie Shlafman

Natalie Shlafman brings over 20 years of marketing, commercialization, and leadership experience. Most recently, Natalie served as Vice President of Marketing at AEGEA (acquired by Cooper Surgical), where she built the commercial foundation for the company and preparations for launch. Prior to that, she led her own marketing strategy consulting business where she worked with multiple ENT device clients. Before that, she was Vice President of Marketing at CardioDx, where she built out and directed the company's marketing capabilities and drove all commercial aspects of developing, launching, and driving adoption for the company's flagship product. Prior to CardioDX, Natalie was at Guidant Corporation, where she worked in market development and product marketing. Natalie received her MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern and her B.A. in psychology with a business specialization from UCLA.

Scott Miller

Scott Miller is an experienced finance, business development, and operations executive. Prior to Aerin Medical, Scott served in multiple leadership positions with Smith & Nephew, ArthroCare, and St. Jude Medical, where he gained broad industry exposure across the Ear, Nose & Throat, Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, Cardiology, Cardiac Rhythm Management, and Neuromodulation healthcare subspecialties. Previously, Scott served as a mutual fund manager for both life science and diversified mutual funds with Morgan Stanley, where he was directly responsible for managing an $8 billion portfolio and put together an investment track record that produced numerous awards from both Lipper and Morningstar. Scott graduated as an Academic All-ACC selection at Duke University and earned an MBA with High Honors from the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business. Scott also holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Scott Smith - Chief Legal Officer

Scott is an M.D. and registered patent attorney who has spent over two decades advising medical device companies as in-house and outside counsel. He worked in-house at Acclarent (acquired by JNJ for $800M), PulmonX (LUNG), Align Technology, and Baxano, and he has acted as a partner at several top-tier intellectual property law firms. Scott earned his J.D. from the Ohio State University, his M.D. from the University of Arizona, and a B.A. from Northwestern University.

Shane Johnson

Shane is an experienced sales executive with over 25 years in the medical device space. Prior to Aerin Medical, he built the commercial team and strategy as the Vice President of Sales at Vertiflex, where he was responsible for the U.S. launch of their minimally invasive treatment for spinal stenosis. He spent nearly half of his career at Kyphon, where he played an instrumental leadership role growing the business from $10 million to $470 million, culminating in a $3.9 billion acquisition by Medtronic. As Vice President of Sales at Medtronic, he managed a team of 150 within the interventional spine division. Shane received his business management degree from Henderson University.
