Dr Lobato de Faria is our Qualified Investigator at SNI and is responsible for review and approval of necessary participant documentation and providing any required medical oversight during our Clinical Trials. Dr Ricardo is a South African medical graduate and moved to Manitoba to become a rural family physician. After a decade Dr Ricardo followed his passion for emergency medicine. He has 20 years of experience at the Seven Oaks Emergency, where he served as Medical Director and hospital Chief Medical Officer for 15 years. Dr Ricardo now co-founder of his own clinic (KALO Medical Clinic) conveniently located next door to SNI Clinical Research.

Dr. Ramprasath Vanu Ramkumar has more than thirteen years of research expertise in human clinical nutrition to develop functional foods and nutraceutical products and in understanding their mechanisms of action on various health benefits for humans, including over 8 years leading the research team at Richardson Centre for Functional Foods and Nutraceuticals.
With both Masters and PhD degrees in Biochemistry, along with certifications in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory strategies for Natural Health Products (NHP), Dr. Vanu Ramkumar has a proven track record of successful clinical trial research, both as a team and in collaboration with other institutional and industrial researchers. In addition to a multitude of published peer reviewed articles and reviews, he has also co-authored a manual on how to conduct a human trial with foods for preparing a submission for food health claims which was published by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada.

As Associate Director of Quality Assurance, Lindsei oversees the Quality Assurance and technical evaluation of natural health products, cosmetics and drugs for our regulatory team and provides R&D support to SNI's clinical team. She also brings diverse expertise through her prior work at a biopharmaceutical company, where she headed formulation R&D activities for oral and topical cannabinoid-based products. Lindsei has a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutritional Sciences and a Ph.D. from the University of Manitoba. Her Ph.D. research focused on the pre-clinical study of natural health products and their antioxidant effects in cardiometabolic syndrome and fatty liver disease. When she's not busy reading up on the latest advancements in health and wellness, you will probably find her gardening, cooking, spending time with her family, or on her yoga mat.
