TAGLAB

The Technologies for Aging Gracefully Lab (TAGlab) was founded by Ronald Baecker in 2008. We design aids, systems, and experiences that support aging throughout the life course with the goal of fostering a sense of community, identity, and autonomy for our users... The TAGteam is comprised of computer scientists, social scientists, designers, and health care professionals. Together, we conduct in-depth research on the social contexts of aging, using ethnographic methodologies to develop rich understandings of how we age, the factors that affect that process, and how technological advances can be used to improve the quality of life... TAGlab strives to ensure that the products of this research and prototyping process don't remain in the realm of academia and gather dust; developing life changing concepts and products that people can get their hands on and use is at the core of the TAGlab mission.
