We are an independent charitable foundation. We fund and commission research, policy work and campaigning. Our mission is to improve living standards and tackle financial problems facing people on low-to-middle incomes. Our name recognises the historic donation from abrdn plc (formerly Standard Life) which led to the foundation of the Trust... We believe in collaboration, working closely with our funded partners, which includes a wide range of universities, think-tanks and voluntary organisations.
