Martin Escott

Martin began his career in banking in 1984 before moving on to Financial Advice a couple of years later giving him over 35 years' experience in financial services. During this time, he also studied law, something he finds extremely useful when dealing with clients and fellow professionals. Martin has worked in and managed estate agencies dealing with property sales whilst also arranging mortgages for a significant number of people. Martin has the Diploma in Financial Advice, the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice with additional qualifications enabling him to advise on Equity Release. He is also a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute, the Personal Finance Society and the Society of Mortgage Professionals. Over the years Martin has enjoyed helping many clients achieve their goals through the application of sound independent financial planning, whether it be a couple buying their first home or someone needing advice on deciding how best to take their retirement benefits. Martin also enjoys giving advice to business owners, from a sole trader setting up their first business to company directors arranging employee benefits or needing advice on how to most tax-efficiently plan the sale of their company. Martin and his wife, Ros, have two children, Albert and Annabel, who attend school in Monmouth. Prior to 2020 Martin enjoyed volunteering as a leader with the Scout Association. He enjoys the outdoors in particular cycling, canoeing, fishing and the countryside, whilst also having an interest in genealogy, local history, antiques and art. Martin enjoys sport in general and is a keen supporter of his local football team, Newport County.

Ros Escott B. Ed

Ros began working in Education, having studied at The University of South Wales, Newport, from 1987- 1991. She had a long and successful career as a Primary school teacher for fourteen years and having gained the National Professional Qualification for Headteachers she was a Headteacher for fourteen years. In 2020 Ros decided upon a career change and became the Practice Manager for Morgan Escott & Company as well as starting her studies to become a Financial Adviser. She has gained her qualification in Financial Services, Regulation and Ethics; Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice and is currently completing the final stage of the Diploma for Financial Advisers. Ros and her husband Martin, have two children, Albert and Annabel who attend school in Monmouth and Trellech respectively. They also have a pet cat named ‘Sugar' and a pet dog called ‘Striker' that they all adore. Ros continues her passion for teaching by providing private tutoring for children. She also runs a musical theatre company and enjoys enabling children to put on a performance. Ros intends to use her many years of teaching experience to help children and teachers learn about the importance of financial education and money management. In her spare time, she enjoys family outings and holidays doing fun things like cycling and camping.

Victoria Hopkins

Victoria lives in St Arvans with her husband Richard, and her collection of rescue dogs from her charity, Pawprints to Freedom. Victoria has been self-employed for most of her working life. For the past seven years she has been running a busy Land Rover restoration garage and parts department alongside Richard. Whilst running the garage, Victoria qualified as a Mortgage Adviser. The opportunity then arose to join the team at Morgan Escott & Company and to qualify as a fully Independent Financial Adviser. Having passed her exams, she and Richard decided to sell the garage so that Richard could retire and Victoria could dedicate her time to her chosen vocation. At weekends, she spends her time immersed in her rescue, walking her unruly pack, or indulging in her other passion, baking.
