Alistair Grant

Before his consulting career, Alistair spent 20 years at Citibank, most recently as EMEA CIO and technology infrastructure head. Achievements include spearheading the delivery of a client-centric Technology Transformation programme globally, leading over 400 infrastructure projects across all business areas and with budget responsibility of $200mm. His banking expertise includes retail, investment, private bank. As well as substantial expertise in technology transformation, Alistair has also held senior risk and control roles and acted as the Managing Director of a major data centre.

Emma Free

After a 23-year diverse career within the HSBC Group, including roles as COO, in business performance, finance and M&S Bank, Emma has a proven track record of leading and developing teams. As a qualified accountant Emma has worked in both Finance and the Business focussed on exceeding stakeholder requirements. Emma also led, and been part of the teams that delivered large scale restructuring programmes, Target Operating Model (TOM) implementation, MI and reporting and budgeting and forecasting. Emma also did a short stint working overseas for HSBC Turkey in a COO role.

Faye Lygo

Having qualified as a solicitor in 1999, Faye has been involved in a diverse range of legal areas, specialising in commercial and residential property and taking an active management role within the practice. After achieving partnership, Faye left private practice and has been involved in legal education and then as Chair and Marketing Director of Doncaster Rovers Belles Ladies Football Club (the Belles); a high profile and historic women's football team. As part of her role as Chair of the Belles, Faye was involved in all legal, back office, marketing and personnel matters, dealing with players, agents, clubs and the FA. In addition, Faye was part of the FA's inaugural FA Women in Leadership Programme, mentored by ex-footballer, Brendon Batson.

Gordon Kilpatrick - CEO

Gordon is a founding partner of CWC. A graduate of Edinburgh Business School where he obtained his MBA, he is one of the finance industry's foremost consultants for front and back office transformation. He brings with him a wealth of expertise from over 20 years of previous roles undertaking complex transformational programmes. He has worked for and with major financial organisations including Citibank, Barclays and Ernst & Young, and with a number of key integration partners (SAP, IBM, Accenture and Oracle). Gordon's unique breadth of knowledge spans many areas of the regulatory and financial services industry, working across Technology, Operation and Product groups. He also possesses solid consulting expertise, which includes working on strategic projects with McKinsey, BCG, IMB, SAP, Oracle and Accenture. When not at work, his passion is for rugby; he has played for London Irish and in South Africa for Pirates Rugby in Johannesburg.

Ian Cumming

Ian is a consultant with deep hands-on expertise of programme management in complex transformation programmes. He has worked with a wide range of change functions in a number of European banks. He has deep practical experience of offshoring and outsourcing and the regulatory environment. Ian has worked with CWC since 2016 on projects such as leading a 15 strong onsite PMO consultancy team supporting Programme Director of Retail and Wealth Management Operations at a major multinational bank. This involved coordinating plans across multiple Operations businesses in six major markets and delivering a full range of financial and programme reporting. Previously, Ian served in the British Army for eight years and was awarded the United Nations Humanitarian Services Medal for work on the Afghan/Pakistani border. He holds a Master's degree in Engineering from the University of Cambridge and is an active RFU Referee.

Kay Elliott - VP of Sales

Kay joined CWC as a Sales Director and brings with her a wealth of industry experience. Prior to working with CWC, Kay has had a varied career across the industry. Kay began her career at IBM Financial Services where she was managing sales and relationships on key accounts for seven years. Over the next twelve years Kay worked for large, independent and boutique firms which allowed her to develop her own unique style through the exposure to very different client requirements.

Lisa Whiffen - CEO

Lisa initially qualified as a chartered accountant. A former bond trader, she subsequently worked for more than 25 years in banking for some of the world's leading institutions, of which 20 has been spent exclusively within transformation. Lisa has also worked as a Director at PWC, specialising in M&A-related operational risk and business transformation. Most recently, Lisa has been involved in Regulatory-driven legal and operational structural reform, working for a number of top tier banks, helping them respond to increasing regulatory demands. Lisa's key focus remains Operational Risk & Controls, and the management of Operational Risk during transformation. Her first degree was in Economics at Manchester University, since then she has completed her Masters in Organisational Behaviour and Change at the London School of Economics. Lisa has a passion for Diversity and the promotion of women in business.

Neil Henderson

Neil has over 25 years' experience in financial and professional services, undertaking a range of senior operational, strategic and transformational roles before managing consulting assignments. Having spent 10 years leading scale retail banking operations on and offshore, including customer relations, mortgages and consumer lending, Neil has specialised in digital transformation programmes, for example, he successfully launched an industry acclaimed and award winning app into the UK market (Barclays Homeowner). ​Neil studied for a BS in Financial Services and Management at The Manchester Institute of Science and Technology.

Phil Whaley

With over 30 years' experience gained across a broad range of technologies and business environments, Phil has a great breadth of expertise across the global & retail banking sector. Phil has specialised in mobilising, delivering and assuring major transformational and regulatory programmes across the financial services industry, including for Citibank, HSBC and Egg bank. He also has deep technical and service management experience within the business operations and a demonstrated track record in improving quality and automation opportunities.
