GENIO ACCOUNTANTS - Key Persons
Alice joined the team in April 2021 from a large firm in Southampton, having qualified as an accounting Technician in January 2020 she has since become a master in Xero and Hubdoc, introducing the latter as a new service for clients when she joined. If you ever need technical help on either, she will be happy to help. Alice looks after a portfolio of Genio clients in their day to day accounting needs. Alice is a proud Southampton FC fan and is kept busy at home with her pet dog Lola and partner Jack.
My Accountancy career began with Grant Thornton in London and gained experience in with Hopper Williams and Bell, Rothman Pantall (Havant) and Taylor Cocks (Cosham). I gained my qualification as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2005. I am extremely thankful to all the Partners and colleagues at these firms who helped me develop into the accountant I am today. It is my aim for Genio to be the accounting Genius that small business clients need and deserve. I am a keen golfer, dabbled in a bit of running (3.75 marathons completed) and a 'taxi-dad' to sporty sons and elite Acro gymnast daughter...

Leanne is our office superstar, keeping us all organised making sure Genio runs smoothly. She has been part of the team forever and is never allowed to leave She is our resident CIS expert and helps our clients ensure that they and their subcontractors are kept on track throughout the year. During lockdown Leanne has been our furlough specialist, claiming grants for all our clients that qualified for the governments support. She is the bacon roll run instigator and uses this time to chat to our local clients on route.
Mark is a consultant for Genio and has worked in practice for over 20 years. He qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2004 He has significant experience in all accounts, payroll and tax matters. Jeremy and Mark trained and worked together at HWB for a number of years and have been good friends ever since. He looks after a few local pubs - for their accounts and sampling their drinks in his spare time… Mark and is also an expert in bacon rolls but does not specialize in Pool or Darts
Her part time role at Genio is involved in helping and chasing later payers. So hopefully you won't hear from her : Most our clients pay by monthly DD so its not a busy role but when required in the past she has been very effective. Marta has extensive credit control experience and can help clients with their own credit control to ensure their debtor days are as low as possible.
Sarah joined us in July 2020 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2003 Sarah is an expert in messy accounts…. She has managed to turn accounts around that other firms have abandoned. She deals with all aspects of accounts, payroll and Tax Sarah is not one for our weekly bacon roll run, however does like the chocolate brownies that appear now and again. PS: Don't mention the Air-conditioning - she has the unfortunate position of sitting directly beneath it.
