Duncan Murdoch

After graduating from Newcastle, Duncan worked for a North-East Property Developer on several commercial ventures and a major Center Parcs style leisure complex. After a period with a firm of Chartered Surveyors in Newcastle upon Tyne, Duncan joined Moult Benn in 1995 and subsequently moved to Moult Walker at its formation in 1997. Duncan is a highly experienced planning and development Chartered Surveyor with a wealth of expertise in project management, land agency, and the planning and development sector. Duncan was project manager of the £55 million Market Place, Romford mixed use scheme and dealt with this complicated phased development project from inception (land assembly and planning) to eventual completion in 2015 for U+I (Development Securities). This includes 135,000 sq ft of commercial space (tenants included Aldi, Iceland, Home Bargains, Boots and the Gym) together with an 80 bed Travelodge, multi-storey car park and 120 apartments. Duncan is married with three children and lives in Berden near Bishop's Stortford where he is a Parish Councillor. Duncan is a Trustee of Grove Cottage (Bishop's Stortford Mencap Charity) and is tasked with redevelopment of the existing property. Duncan plays hockey for Saffron Walden (the lower mens teams) and enjoys dog walking, cycling and DIY. Duncan is delighted to have been appointed as Honourary Vice President of Hitchin Cricket Club after the successful completion of the new sports scheme.

Mike Moult FRICS

Mike Moult's early career was developing retail stores, firstly for Boots and subsequently as Development Director at Fine Fare. Initially establishing Moult & Co. in 1975, this evolved into Moult Benn and subsequently to Moult Walker. Mike has extensive experience in retail foodstore development with numerous strategic acquisitions and lettings with Tesco as a key client for many years. Ancillary to working for Moult Walker, Mike operates his own property company with numerous residential and land assets. The latter are being promoted for development via the Local Plan process.
