Andrew is our CEO. Having started with the company in July 2015 in an advisory role, to assist the process of transition of ownership, he joined in a permanent capacity in April 2016. Andrew originally trained as a Chartered Accountant with Coopers & Lybrand, making the move into industry in 1996. He has accumulated more than 20 years' experience working as both CFO and CEO, extensively with private equity backed small and medium-sized businesses, throughout the full ownership and funding cycle from acquisition to exit.
Ben Lampertz - Chief Commercial Officer

Ben joined the team in October 2016 as Managing Director of our German operations. He is also responsible for our business activities as Commercial Director. Trained as Diplom-Kaufmann and with both a French and an English Master's degree in Business Administration, Ben is trilingual and possesses extensive knowledge of the oil and gas and chemical industries. Prior to joining Coryton, Ben held various senior level positions in strategy, supply chain, and sales & marketing. His vast experience in international OEM and key account management are important assets in developing tailored solutions for our customers.

Since joining Coryton in 2011, Craig has gained a wealth of experience across all aspects of the business and now has executive responsibility for the organisation's operational functions including manufacturing, distribution, engineering, H&S and compliance. Taking a hands on approach, Craig focuses on supporting the business's strategic initiatives, striving to achieve operational excellence, in all regards, throughout the supply chain. Craig holds a Masters Degree in Engineering from the University of Leeds and prior to joining Coryton, completed a graduate programme at Ricardo Engineering.

David has been with Coryton since the beginning, having worked within the specialist fuels sector since 2002. He possesses vast expertise in building and managing customer relationships as well as logistics, domestic and international customs and export licensing. David has represented Coryton both at a technical and strategic level. He has sat on the British Technical Council's Coordinating European Council, advised the EU's JRC, and advised the UK government. The key focus for David is international trade, regulations and building strategic partnerships.
Eric is the Chief Chemist and has been with the company since 2012. Eric qualified in Chemistry at London Southbank University. Eric has a long career in the technical sector, starting out in Analytical Services in both the Pharmaceutical and Food Industries before moving on into the Refining business. Eric has 30 + years in the industry and has worked with Exxon-Mobil, BP Oil and Petroplus. Eric has gained experience with all Petroleum Products ranging from LPG, Fuels, Lubricants, Bitumen, Special Products with a particular emphasis on Aviation Jet and Avgas. In his past Eric was fortunate to tour with a top Formula 1 team and was the first to be involved in the setting-up of trackside fuel testing. He has been a Panel member of the Energy Institute and had a method published in their technical reference manuals. Eric is currently involved with projects, including CEC fuels development and working within the formulations department.
James has experience in the private and not-for-profit sectors. A passion for creating commercially focused finance teams by promoting a collaborative business partnering approach. Varied roles to date have provided practical experience in both financial and management accounting and opportunities to manage change in growing companies.
Klaus has been with the company since October 2017 and is responsible for sales and commercial administration of our German branch. He can draw on more than 25 years of professional experience in various managerial positions in the mineral oil industry to fulfil the technical, logistical and economic requirements of our customers in the best possible way.
Having held technical and commercial positions within the upstream oil & gas, and sustainable chemistry industries for over 14 years, Luke joined Coryton in January 2019. Assuming account management responsibility and sector diversification across the UK, EU and selected worldwide territories, Luke has drawn on his diverse experience to enhance Coryton's engagement with its customer base, and promote its increasingly diverse portfolio and services. With a masters in Environmental Toxicology and a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry, ensuring a customer's commercial and technical needs are understood and accommodated, forms the basis of Luke's role within Coryton.

Nick has been with Coryton for many years having started his career as a specialist in fuels technology in 2010. He now manages all technical projects and the associated Technical Project Leaders. Nick's expertise is in researching gasoline, diesel and aviation fuels, including renewable alternatives for producing sustainable liquid drop-in fuels and related future technologies. He is also highly experienced in working directly with automotive OEMs, top tier producers and independent testing facilities. Nick and his team can design bespoke technical specifications dependent on customer requirements.
Paul joined Coryton in January 2024 as a Sales Account Manager responsible for looking after customers' technical and sustainable fuels requirements. He has a background as a commercial and customer focussed downstream oil and gas industry professional with over 18 years' experience in sustainable biofuels, supply, sales, trading, procurement, and operations. Paul has managed aviation supply into international and major regional airports, the blending and optimisation of biofuels into ground fuels, supply chain operations for billions of litres and commercial optimisation using linear programs. As well as driving product quality continual improvements projects including root cause analysis and acted as project manager rolling out E10 to retail sites for a major international oil company. He's also had responsibility for leading incident management teams and managing the transition of assets during asset disposal projects. For Paul, Coryton feels like coming home having once managed Fuel Sales from the one-time neighbouring refinery and is looking forward to applying a customer-first mentality with a calm approach to deliver sustainable fuel excellence for Coryton's customers.

Thorsten is a mechanical engineer and started his professional career in an independent engineering service supplier, working on combustion engine development for passenger cars and heavy-duty trucks. He collected >10 years of experience in developing and performing fuels and lubricants qualification methods, closely co-operating with international committees such as the co-ordinating European council, ACEA or FVV. He was concerned with strategic business development in international markets in Europe, USA and Middle East. Fascinated by the options of sustainable fuel technology, he joined Coryton in early 2021 to consolidate his passion for combustion engines and fundamental understanding of engine technology to support environmentally friendly applications in the industry and end-users.

Having been with Coryton since 2013, Urszula is an experienced scientist who has worked in the design of fuels, associated analytical techniques and laboratory quality management. She is a research professional with a Master of Engineering degree of Chemistry, specialised in Fuels Technology. Urszula is heavily involved in our R&D work, especially in the development of sustainable fuels.
