Alex Jessop

Job Titles:
  • Ecologist
Alex joined the team in September 2018 and has grown within the business to be a key member of the team. From his background in conservation he has has gained a wide range of experience in consultancy from undertaking Preliminary Ecological Appraisals and bat surveys, to writing Habitat Regulations Assessment and attending project meetings.

Ana Pino-Blanco

Job Titles:
  • Ecologist
Ana joined the team in February 2022. A keen field ecologist, with a background in herpetology, and a new found passion for bats. She is a volunteer bat carer and is gaining further expereince outside work with Suffolk and Essex bat groups. Ana holds a Level 1 Class Licences great crested newts, a Level 2 Class Licence for bats and is working toward her Level 3 and 4 Class Licences for bats and Level 1 Class Licence for dormouse.

Cyrise Weaire

Job Titles:
  • Principal
Cyrise is an experienced and enthusiastic ecologist with over eighteen years experience in ecological consultancy. With a background in larger multidisciplinary consultancies, Cyrise set up Practical Ecology Ltd in 2010 to give clients a more tailored and personalised service. Cyrise has extensive project management and site implementation experience on small scale and major infrastructure schemes, she has held a great crested newt class license for over twelve years and is a full member of CIEEM.

Sammi Smith

Job Titles:
  • Graduate Ecologist
Sammi begun working with the team in 2021, looking to gain experience initially as a field surveyor before joining the team full time. Sammi's background with the Suffolk Wildlife Trust after completing her masters degree have given her a wide range of knowledge. Outside work Sammi has undertaken wetland bird surveys.
