Caroline Byrne

Caroline joined Global Diagnostics Ireland in October 2013 and was appointed as Managing Director in 2018. In November 2020, Global was acquired by Medica and Caroline joined the Medica senior management team to continue managing operations in Ireland. Caroline has extensive experience in clinical service delivery, medical facility design, regulatory compliance, accreditation, quality safety and risk and large-scale change management having previously held senior management positions in Ireland's primary care provider Centric Health. During her leadership, Global had grown to become the Irish market leader in teleradiology. The Global team successfully secured and implemented a range of new managed diagnostics service contracts, complimenting their teleradiology services. Caroline also has responsibility for the Diabetic Screening Service contract, delivered under the Global Vision brand, as part of the National Screening Service. The screening service, which covers around half of the Irish population, was supplemented by the launch of Ireland's first diabetic retinopathy surveillance programme in April 2018. Caroline has an MSc in Quality and Safety in Healthcare Management from the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland.

Dr Garry Pettet

Dr Garry Pettet is a consultant radiologist and software engineer. He has worked with Medica since 2018 as a reporter, auditor, arbitrator and subject matter expert for the FutureTech programme. His radiological areas of interest are paediatrics, neuroradiology and urology. He is passionate about using technology to improve patient outcomes.

Dr Kishore Gopalakrishnan

Kishore is not only a skilled practitioner but is also an early adopter of digital pathology. He is actively involved in research, particularly exploring the utility of AI in digital pathology.

Dr Mark Regi

Dr Mark Regi is a Sheffield based Consultant Vascular and Interventional Radiologist. He is now the UK Clinical Lead for Medica Group, having joined Medica in 2019 as a specialist vascular reporter and becoming an auditor for Medica in 2020.

Dr Robert Lavis

Dr Robert Lavis joined Medica as Group Clinical Director in 2020 before becoming Group Medical Director in June 2021 and Chief Medical Officer in April 2024. He graduated from the University of Birmingham Medical School in 1996. Training initially as a surgeon in the West Midlands, obtaining MRCS, he then trained as a radiologist in the Peninsula training scheme gaining his FRCR and a PGCE in Medical Education. He has specialist interests in Head and Neck and Urology imaging. He has held Consultant and Clinical Director posts in both Plymouth Hospitals NHST and Gloucestershire Hospitals NHSFT. Dr Rob Lavis joins Medica Group as Clinical Director. Dr Robert Lavis joined Medica as Clinical Director in 2020 and became Group Medical Director in June 2021.

Dr. Sarah Perrin

Dr. Sarah Perrin is a Consultant Radiologist specialising in breast radiology. In 2022, she became a part of the Medica Clinical Leadership team as the Clinical Lead for Appraisal. With extensive experience in appraisal and a keen interest in radiology education and training, she graduated from the University of Bristol Medical School in 1996, undertook initial surgical training in South Wales, including MRCS certification, and subsequently completed radiology training in the South West Peninsula Training Scheme. Prior to her appointment at Medica in 2022, she served as the Director of Somerset Breast Screening. Dr Sarah Perrin joined the Medica Clinical leadership team in 2022.

Holly Ainger

Holly joined Medica in August 2023 as Group Head of Marketing and Communications. She is responsible for driving forward our marketing strategy working with our commercial teams to support retention and acquisition for our clients and reporting community. She brings a wealth of experience working in the NHS and private healthcare organisations in the UK and globally.

Kevin Terrins

Kevin joined Medica in 2006 following roles as a radiographer, PACS/RIS manager and radiology healthcare IT consultant. He held the role of Director of Business Development from June 2012, before becoming Group Director of Corporate Development in January 2022. Kevin was part of the management buyout team which successfully listed Medica Group on the FTSE main market in 2017. Using his wide breadth of experience in the NHS and private healthcare organisations Kevin is focused on ensuring the services offered by Medica are of the highest quality, represent excellent value for money and meet our clients current and future needs.

Pete Wilson

Pete Wilson is a Partner at IK Partners and leads IK's UK Mid Cap Investment team. He is a non-executive director of the Medica group. He has significant investing and portfolio management experience across a range of industries and geographies.

Richard Jones

Richard Jones joined Medica on 3rd August 2020 from Mereo BioPharma Group PLC, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on oncology and rare diseases where he was CFO from January 2017. Richard has extensive experience in the healthcare sector, both from his more recent career as a CFO in two UK quoted companies and also from his prior experience in healthcare Investment Banking initially as a healthcare sector analyst and then in corporate finance as Head of Healthcare at Investec. Richard joined Mereo from UK AIM listed Shield Therapeutics plc where he was Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary from early 2011. At Shield he had a leading role establishing the finance and other operations and guiding Shield through its 2016 IPO. Richard is also a non-executive Director and head of the Audit Committee at AIM listed Alliance Pharma PLC, having joined the board in January 2019. Richard qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PwC in 1991.

Stuart Quin

Stuart Quin joined Medica Group in September 2019 from Synlab, the international laboratory diagnostic services provider, where he was regional Chief Executive of Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa. Previously he was Synlab's Group Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Executive of its operations in UK and Ireland. Stuart brings a track record of delivering significant growth both in the UK and internationally and has extensive experience of working in partnership with the NHS. During Stuart's tenure in the UK he expanded the business by winning new diagnostic service contracts and through the acquisition of four companies that significantly diversified Synlab's service offering into drug and alcohol, specialist food and veterinary testing. Prior to joining Synlab, Stuart worked in private equity as a Director at August Equity and at 3i plc in Munich and London where he focused on investing in fast-growing healthcare businesses across Europe and the US. Stuart also spent four years at Accenture in the US and UK as a Manager in the health and life sciences strategy consulting practice. Stuart holds a BSc (Hons) in Immunology from the University of Edinburgh, a PhD in Immunology from Imperial College London and an MBA from INSEAD. Stuart is a member of the Investment Committee of Alta Semper Capital, a frontier markets private equity firm focused on investing in consumer and healthcare companies in Africa. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine and the Royal Geographical Society.

Tom Riall - Chairman

Tom Riall has expanded his Non Exec responsibilities by taking on the role of Chairman at Medica. This appointment adds to his portfolio, which includes serving as Chairman of mydentist (the country's largest dental network) since April 1, 2023 and Chairman of Kingsbridge Heathcare Group in Ireland. Tom's expertise spans both healthcare services and the wider support services sector; he was previously the CEO of Priory Group, Europe's largest independent provider of mental health services, and prior to that held roles at Serco Group Plc, including CEO of their UK Government Division and for a time CEO of their Global Services Division based in Mumbai, India. With a rich educational background, including completing the Advanced Management Programme at Harvard Business School and holding an MBA from the City University Business School, Tom brings significant experience to his new role at Medica, further solidifying his position as a leader in the healthcare industry.
