Previously a Partner at a leading Newcastle law firm, Donna specialises in corporate, commercial and employment law and delivers business services to our clients. With over 11 years' experience of working with companies, directors and HR teams, Donna is renowned for her holistic commercial approach and ability to get to the root of a matter, earning her reputation as a trusted partner and adviser to our clients. Donna's knowledge of corporate structure, governance and compliance in both the private and public sector means she is well placed to advise private companies, directors and public organisations. Having begun her legal career at Ward Hadaway solicitors, Donna trained in commercial, regulatory, corporate, banking and employment law, before heading out to Sage Group Plc on secondment. From there, she went on to practice employment law and worked in Sintons' corporate support team, advising on the employment and TUPE aspects of mergers, acquisitions and share sales and drafting warranties and indemnities, directors' service agreements and settlement agreements. In 2015, Donna became in-house legal counsel for the North East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust and she has since advised dentists, GPs, NHS Trusts and care homes on a range of commercial, employment and regulatory matters. Graeme Langlands

Graeme became a Partner in the Firm in 2005. He has worked in the legal profession since 1998 and qualified as a Solicitor in 2002. Specialising primarily in Family Law, Graeme is a Law Society Accredited Expert and a member of the Law Society's Advanced Family Law Panel and Children Panel. Graeme handles both Legal Aid and privately funded work in all areas of family law including divorce, separation and division of family assets as well as cohabitation, child contact and residence disputes. Graeme has particular expertise in dealing with child care cases involving Social Services. He is also highly experienced in handling domestic violence cases including injunctions, child maintenance disputes with the CSA, and pre-nuptial agreements. Graeme also deals with civil litigation and dispute resolution including housing repossessions and landlord tenant disputes.

Hannah Shearsmith

Lisa Sexton

Lisa joined the firm in 2004 and has extensive experience of working within legal practices. She initially joined the firm as a legal cashier in the Accounts Department, but quickly progressed her role to that of Practice Manager. Lisa's role is extensive, incorporating all aspects of practice management and support to the lawyers and support staff. She has played a significant part in ensuring the Firm achieved, and has maintained, Lexcel Accreditation and the Conveyancing Quality Scheme Accreditation, together with the implementation of a wide variety of internal office policies and procedures to ensure the successful and smooth running of the firm. Lisa remains a valued and loyal member of the team and is a member of the Institute of Legal Finance & Management When she is not at work, Lisa enjoys being a mum to her daughter and socialising with her friends (when she gets the opportunity!).

Richard Rodger

Richard is a Partner and the Supervisor of the Criminal Law Department and has been with the Firm since 2006. He has over 23 years' experience working in Criminal Law dealing with common criminal offences of motoring/road traffic matters, theft/fraud, serious violence/sexual offences and homicide. He also has experience of all manner of less common offences and prosecutions including those commenced by HMRC, DWP, RSPCA, HSE, FSA, the Environmental Agency and the Post Office. Richard also deals with Restraint Orders and Confiscation Proceedings under the Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA).
