Laura has worked in the business since 2011 and has built up a broad knowledge of the business from the ground up. She says the best thing about owning and running Speedwellstar has to be being able to walk to work, and the broad variety of things to do each day.
At home Laura and Roger also have two great daughters, a lovely Labrador called Dexter (who joins us at work each day), and Marvin the cat who thinks he's a dog.
After many years working as a Senior Manager in local government and a commercial surveyor/buyer in the construction industry Roger wanted to try something completely different. The reality is the same spreadsheets and processes are still there but now he only has himself to blame when there is a problem
Customer satisfaction is always his priority and ensuring products are priced competitively to ensure that buyers will return to Speedwellstar knowing they are purchasing from a family UK based business. In his spare time he moans about his many ailments, in particular his back and inability to put his socks on the day after mountain biking or running.
