As the firm's Chief Executive Peter has historically focused on developing innovative solutions for the running of the firm and in support of its growth. The result is a model which delivers quality advice at exceptional commercial value. Peter's is now increasingly concentrated on his work as Head of the Business Development team. Drawing on the experience he gained from running the firm for over 20 years, Peter works with the team to develop and implement strategies for optimising both new and existing business streams. Peter is passionate about diversifying the way we deliver services to the real estate market. He works specifically on building productive commercial partnerships with law firms, from the magic circle to boutique, as part of our Real Estate Support and Partnership offering.
Before Peter joined DJB as the CEO, he was a Barrister at Kings Chambers, Manchester. He acted for the MoD in the first case ever heard by the High Court where a claim for contractual Clawback arising from the sale of land had been made. He also had a career in manufacturing after graduating from Manchester University with a BSc, MSc and PhD in chemical engineering. For the last five years of his time in industry, he managed a large manufacturing operation in a UK plc.

Emma is a Client Director at DJB. She is responsible for ensuring we provide the highest standards of client care and legal services to our clients in the retail, leisure and investment sectors. Prior to moving into this role, Emma was a practising Solicitor and Partner specialising in commercial property. A trusted advisor to the leisure sector, Emma advised household brands including the Odeon Cinema Group and Mitchells and Butlers. Emma also acted for investors, developers and management companies with mixed use property portfolios dealing with a large variety of commercial property matters. Emma's expertise includes the full spectrum of estates management issues, acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant work and refinancing. Prior to joining DJB, Emma was a founding Partner at a boutique law firm in London. Emma is a Senior Advocate Member of Real Estate Balance and an active member of the Leisure Property Forum.

Yvonne is a Client Director at DJB. She is responsible for ensuring we provide the highest standards of client care and legal services to our clients including local authorities, property investment companies, developers and occupiers. Yvonne is also a key point of contact to law firms on DJB's real estate support / partnering initiatives (details can be found here). She draws on her experience of being a property litigation Solicitor for over 10 years at firms including Mishcon de Reya and Forsters LLP where she provided the advice and representation required to protect her clients' operational and commercial effectiveness. Having acted for numerous property investment companies, landlords and occupiers on their property litigation needs including lease restructuring, landlord and tenant work, negligence claims and asset management, Yvonne has moved her focus from legal work to oversee our services to clients.
