BA (Hons) MArch ARB

Job Titles:
  • Architect
James joined PWP Architects in 2016 after graduating from Northumbria University and gaining practical experience in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. In 2018, James qualified as an Architect after completing the Part 3 examination at Portsmouth University. Daniel attended the University of Plymouth for his two Architectural degrees, where he received several awards including a national nomination. He qualified as an Architect at London South Bank University in 2021, whilst working on high-end residential projects in Essex. Daniel joined PWP Architects in August 2023.

Claire Elliott

Claire studied at Nottingham University before joining PWP Architects in 2004. She went on to study at Portsmouth University where she graduated with a Diploma in Architecture and was awarded the sustainability prize for her thesis in 2008. She proceeded to gain an MA in Professional Practice before becoming a fully-qualified Architect in 2010.

Daniel Burdfield

Daniel studied at the University of Portsmouth where he graduated his MArch Architecture degree in 2022. He had previously been awarded the ‘Service to the School' award for his work for the school architectural society. During university, his writing focused on the benefits and failures of social housing. Daniel joined PWP Architects before graduating mid-2022.

Ian Venn

Ian Venn joined PWP Architects in 1994 and then went on to study Architectural Technology at Portsmouth University. He became an Associate Director in 2010.

Izabela Ivanova

Izabela studied at the University of Portsmouth where she gained her MArch Architecture degree with Distinction. Her postgraduate projects were presented in the School of Architecture Yearbook. Her thesis research focused on the collaboration between architects and engineers searching for sustainable solutions to challenge flooding and ecological problems. Izabela joined PWP Architects in early 2022.

Jackie Perrett

Jackie graduated from Portsmouth University in 2001 and became a fully qualified Architect in 2003. Previously, Jackie worked for a Hampshire-based practice before joining PWP Architects in 2011. Since joining PWP Architects Jackie has worked primarily in the Hotel, Leisure and Commercial sectors, on multi-million pound projects, as well as on more small-scale developments.

Jeremy Sayer

Jeremy graduated from Plymouth School of Architecture in 1984, and has over 25 years' experience as a Chartered Architect. From 1984 to 1992 he worked in a number of practices in Hampshire, gaining valuable experience on large and prestigious Commercial projects, including Business Parks and the redevelopment of major brownfield sites in Portsmouth and Southampton. From 1992, at PWP Architects, he has led multi-disciplinary Design Teams working on multi-million pound fast-track contracts with National Contractors, mainly in the Leisure field. Many of these projects have involved the conversion of, and extensive refurbishment works to, Grade I and II Listed Buildings.

Jonathan Spivey

Jonathan studied at Portsmouth University, graduating with a degree in Architecture in 2014. Since graduating, Jonathan has worked for a number of different establishments on a wide range of projects across the building industry, accumulating a wealth of experience and knowledge. Jonathan joined PWP Architects in March 2019 and is continuing to use his varied experience and work towards qualification.

Laura Tucker

Laura completed her Level 4 AAT Diploma in Professional Accounting with Merit at Havant and South Downs College in 2023. Laura joined PWP Architects in September 2021 and has a varied role within the team. She is both the Finance and Office Manager for the practice.

Nick King

Nick King joined PWP Architects in July 2023. Most of his experience has been in Retail, Leisure, and the health sector. He studied Architectural Technology at Solent University.

Safah Derzi

Safah joined PWP Architects in mid-2023 after gaining her MArch Architecture degree with Distinction at the University of Portsmouth, following a First Class Bachelors degree at Kingston University. She has a keen interest in the connection between architecture and mental health. Her thesis project focused on supporting the indigenous communities of the Venetian lagoon through architecture and landscape.

Shawn Lambert

Shawn graduated from the University of Portsmouth School of Architecture in 1992. From 1994 to 2004 he has worked in a number of practices in Hampshire as an Architect in both private and Local Authority offices and as a Property Consultant for a ‘Blue Chip' company. Shawn has experience in a wide range of work sectors which include Industrial, Commercial, Education, Healthcare and Leisure. Shawn joined PWP Architects in 2004 and has led multi-disciplinary Design Teams working on multi-million pound contracts in the Leisure and Health sectors. He has a good technical background with an interest in Project Management, Historic Buildings, Design and Architectural Presentation. Shawn became a Director of PWP Architects in 2007.

Stuart Bone

Stuart graduated from the University of Portsmouth School of Architecture in 1996. He worked with Robert Adam Architects principally, on a new library for Oxford University, as well as a number of other practices in Hampshire. Joining PWP Architects in 2000, he has been involved with Commercial developments, Community Architecture, Social and Speculative Housing - as well as private houses. He has gained awards for the conservation of a Grade II Listed coach house and the conversion of a Victorian warehouse into loft apartments. Stuart became a Director of PWP Architects in 2006.
