Barry is a Partner and has been with the firm for 11 years.
He is a very experienced lawyer who is able to advise on all aspects of general practice particularly contentious work, including divorce and family, civil and criminal litigation and employment matters advising both employer and employees.
Emlyn Watkin joined the practice in 2012 and deals with probate matters and taxation matters.
Emlyn qualified as a Chartered Public Finance Accountant in 1975. He was formerly Director of Finance with Ceredigion County Council and has held the post of Chief Financial Officer to the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority until 2014. Emlyn has provided consultancy, audit and investigation services to the Welsh Government, local authorities and to a range of private clients.
The third generation of Gwynne Hughes in the family practice which he joined in 1996 after studying at University College London, Guildford, a Masters Degree in Aberystwyth University and serving articles at High Wycombe.

Mary ran her own firm until a merger with the firm of Gwynne Hughes on 1st October 2006. We store any Deeds and Wills that she was holding for previous clients of hers.
Mary is now a grandmother but is on hand should we wish to consult with her about anything.
