Attorney Brady

Attorney Michael A. Brady was raised by parents with strong work ethic. His father was a metal machinist for over 30 years and his mother worked in the garment industry as a sewing machine operator. Every dollar earned was spent to provide a home and necessities for his siblings and himself. His upbringing taught him how a important a weekly paycheck was to a family of five. Attorney Brady joined the Pisanchyn Law Firm with over 30 years of experience as a Workers' Compensation litigator. He has tried numerous cases from the initial administrative law Judge level through the appellate courts. He's guided both insured and self-insured company representatives throughout the workers' compensation litigation process. In addition to litigating Workers' Compensation cases, Attorney Brady has participated in hundred of mediations in an effort to bring cases to successful conclusions through settlement. Attorney Brady received his Juris Doctor from the University of Bridgeport after completing his undergraduate at Wilkes University. He's presented subrogation seminar materials to fellow litigators and has guest lectured for Vocational Rehabilitation Undergraduate students. Attorney Brady is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and practices mainly out of our Scranton, Pennsylvania office.

Attorney Serra

Attorney Serra is an associate at the Pisanchyn Law Firm. He attended The Pennsylvania State University for his undergraduate studies where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences while majoring in Crime, Law, and Justice with a Political Science minor. While at The Pennsylvania State University, Attorney Serra maintained a job where he witnessed several co-workers suffer work related injuries and saw firsthand how these injuries affected their lives. After his graduation from The Pennsylvania State University, Attorney Serra decided he wanted to help those same injured workers and received a scholarship to attend Thomas M. Cooley Law School where he graduated cum laude and obtained his Juris Doctorate degree. While in law school Attorney Serra did a summer internship for a Court of Common Pleas Judge, during which time he completed significant legal research and was involved with multiple trials in both personal injury and criminal cases. Following that internship, Attorney Serra completed an externship with a local law firm that practiced in all areas of the law. After law school Attorney Serra was admitted to practice law in the state of Pennsylvania. He immediately obtained a job as an associate attorney with a local law firm where he began practicing in the area of Workers Compensation and Social Security Disability. During this time, Attorney Serra handled a large case load, maintained a strong relationship with his clients and kept them informed about the status of their case throughout the legal process. Since being admitted to practice law in 2007, Attorney Serra has devoted 100% of his practice to litigation throughout the state of Pennsylvania. His practice involves representing injured workers, police officers, firefighters, correction officers and injured union members. Attorney Serra handles all aspects of the litigation of Workers Compensation and Heart and Lung Act benefits including claims for wage loss benefits, medical benefits, termination proceedings, suspension or modification of benefits, appeals from the denial of benefits, and lump sum settlements. Attorney Serra is also an experienced litigator in representing individuals who are no longer able to work due to a severe physical and/or mental disability, including but not limited to, major depressive disorder, anxiety disorder, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, congestive heart failure, degenerative disc disease, multiple sclerosis, cancer, lupus, and crohn's disease. Attorney Serra handles all aspects of the litigation for Social Security Disability Insurance Benefits (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI). From the date of the initial denial, to the date of the hearing in front of the administrative law judge, Attorney Serra is focused on guiding his clients through the complicated and often confusing maze of social security disability paperwork. In addition to his extensive litigation experience, Attorney Serra has served as legal counsel for the non-profit organization Concerned Parents of the Hazleton Area which is an advocacy group dedicated to providing pathways for success to students and families in the Hazleton area for whom language is a barrier. He is also an alumni of Leadership Hazleton which is an organization focusing on the future of the area by completing community service projects. When not working, Attorney Serra enjoys spending time with his wife and son, traveling, golfing, and watching and attending almost all sporting events.

Beverly Bartlett

Beverly Bartlett was born & raised in Olyphant, Pa. Bartlett is the office manager at the Pisanchyn Law Firm. She assists with the firm's accounting and finances. In addition, she is responsible for various matters which keeps the firm running smoothly. She has been happily married for more than 35 years. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters, and her grandchildren.

Joseph Dixon

Joseph Dixon graduated from Vestal High School in Vestal, NY with honors. After high school, Joseph attended both Broome Community College, and Penn State University for a degree in computer science. After college, Joseph worked as a print room operator for a few years in a high volume photo lab in Vestal, NY. The job required precise measurement of both chemicals and settings on large production machines that produced large volumes of customer prints. It was here, early on, that Joseph learned the value of customer care. After the invention of digital photography, chemically processed film started to become obsolete, so Joseph migrated to management in the retail pharmacy trade. It was there that Joseph learned about medical treatment, prescriptions drugs as treatments for illness as well as management procedures and operations. While at Thrift Drug, Eckerd Drug and Rite Aid for a career that spanned over 20 years, Joseph's stores were consistently among the leaders in the district's posting of sales, as well as charitable donations, which included the Children's Miracle Network. Subsequently, a position opened at the Pisanchyn Law Firm for a Trial Director Computer Specialist, which involves operating computer and video equipment during the trial process. With Joseph's background in computers, he jumped at the chance. Since Trial Director only requires work at times of trial, Joseph has been trained at the firm for paralegal work as well. Joseph utilizes his extensive training in computers, management, medical knowledge and client care to round out a skill set that is uniquely suited to serve our clients, and obtaining the best possible outcome from less than desirable circumstances.

Stephanie Foersch, Paralegal began her career as a customer service manager from 2010 -2019. As a manager Stephanie developed social and communication skills that allows her to excel in the legal field.

Thomas J. Carroll

Attorney Carroll was born and raised in Northeastern Pennsylvania attending High School at Seton Catholic in Pittston. He attended the University of Scranton and obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology graduating Cum Laude. Following completion of his undergraduate studies, Attorney Carroll graduated from the Villanova University School of Law. Attorney Carroll is admitted to practice law in the state of Pennsylvania and licensed by the United States Patent and Trademark Office to practice patent and trademark law. Following admission to the Pennsylvania bar by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, Attorney Carroll began his legal career in a regional law firm litigating in the area of personal injury.
