Rather than focusing on just investments or insurance like most of the financial services industry does, I wanted to provide a comprehensive solution that addressed all areas of my client's financial lives. I also wanted to emphasize tax planning and preparation because managing taxes is such a key component to financial success. I spoke with a number of fee-only financial planners while in my CFP® program and knew fee-only was the only way to go. It was also important to me to work with people my age and the "regular" working people I grew up around. Unable to find such a firm to work for, I started Active Lifestyle Financial Planning, LLC with the mission of expanding the availability of comprehensive fee only financial planning beyond the high net worth individual.
