Dean entered the world of wine in 2007 leaving the accounting one he had known for the previous 12 years. The driving force behind this change was the many glasses of wine shared with his Spainish Father-in-law and the opportunity and need to set up barrica wines.

Frank Dilernia

Frank is a 25 year hospitality veteran, and a second generation restaurateur, his family owned some of the most iconic Spanish restaurants in Sydney in the 70's and 80's. He established the Tapavino Group in 2012, opening three successful establishments in Sydney's CBD

Kathryn Mellen

Kathryn has been our QLD State Manager since 2013. She has extensive experience in the industry including a significant stint with Moet Hennessy, and travelled with the company to France and England. Gold Coast based for the past 19 years.

Lee Hayward

After joining the Tapavino Group as Head Sommelier of Balcón in 2016 Lee became fascinated with the wines of Spain, going on to make it his speciality. Taking the role of part time sales with Barrica Wines in 2018, Lee went on to become solely focused on Barrica Wines in July 2021.

Marcelo Diaz

With over 30 years of experience in educating and promoting the Spanish way of life, Marcelo is one of the pioneers of selling Spanish wine in Australia

Sean Bell

Must & Malt is a small boutique distributor based in Melbourne that works with Barrica Wines' product in VIC / TAS. Owner Sean Bell has been distributing to the on premise and independent retail market since 2013, focused on European wines, beers and spirits, and a small collection of Australian producers.
