Birgit Zorniger

Birgit Zorniger brings over 30 years of hospitality experience in the U.S., Germany and India to her role with Bickson Hospitality Group. Her expertise spans all aspects of hotel operations, management, renovation, restoration and spa conversions. She takes pride in employee mentoring. In her most recent position as General Manager of the luxury Taj Lands End Hotel in Mumbai, India from 2010 - 2015, she established a collaborative program with Harvard Business School's first HBS Executive Education Facility in India. Previous experience includes the Deputy General Manager position at The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai for eight years as well as the Resident Manager position with The Mark, New York for 14 years. She also worked at The Breidenbacher Hof, Dusseldorf, Germany, and Brenner's Park Hotel & Spa, Baden-Baden, Germany. She is a graduate of the Hotel Management School, Villingen-Schwenningen, Germany and holds advanced hotel finance and marketing certificates from Cornell Hotel School. Birgit was acknowledged by the State Government of Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany in 2011 with the Order of Merit.

A true hotelier, Raymond N. Bickson has over 40 years of global hospitality industry experience. As Principal & Chief Executive Officer of New York's Bickson Hospitality Group LLC, he heads a global consultancy for all facets of hospitality management. Previously, Raymond spent 12 years in Mumbai as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer for Taj Hotel Group, growing the company's $1 billion portfolio from 62 hotels to 137 properties under four differentiated brands while also overseeing diversified interests in transportation, airline catering and real estate. His prior experience includes 27 years in management positions with the Rafael Group Hoteliers and Regent International Hotels. He is a graduate of Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne and holds advanced management certificates from Harvard Business School and Cornell Hotel School. Raymond is a member of the Board of Trustees of The Culinary Institute of America (CIA). He completed in May 2019 a 15 year term on the International Advisory Board of the Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL) in Switzerland and served for 12 years as member of The Leading Hotels of the World (LHW) Executive Committee. His recent recognition includes a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Hospitality Investment Conference South Asia in Mumbai, India.
