BIOIMAGE ARCHIVE

The BioImage Archive (BIA) stores and distributes biological images that are useful to life sciences researchers. It also provides data archiving services to the broader bioimaging database community including added-value bioimaging data resources such as EMPIAR, Cell-IDR and Tissue-IDR... The BIA's scope is bioimaging data from molecule to organism scale, from any imaging modality, in any format that is associated with a publication, or of value beyond a single experiment. However, submission to related community resources may be more appropriate for some data types. For example, many types of Electron Microscopy (EM) image should be deposited in EMPIAR.
