Aaron moved to Fort Collins in the summer of 2011. He comes from the private sector, having work at IBM as a Server Outage Coordinator and most recently for Information Technology Experts (ITX) here in Fort Collins as a Systems Administrator. He has a love for the outdoors and can often be found at Horsetooth reservoir and the Poudre river, kayaking, paddle boarding as well as taking advantage of all the great hikes in the area.

Dr. Christopher Snow joined the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering as an assistant professor in August of 2011. Dr. Snow received a B.S. degree in Chemistry from MIT in 2001 and his Ph.D. in Biophysics from Stanford University in 2006. As a Howard Hughes fellow at Stanford, Dr. Snow studied the biophysics of protein folding using distributed computing. Before arriving at CSU, Dr. Snow was a Jane Coffin Childs Fellow and a KAUST Research Fellow at Caltech where he developed software for computational protein engineering, designed libraries of cellulase enzymes, and studied protein recombination using high-throughput crystallography. At CSU, Dr. Snow will focus on the prediction and design of biomolecular structure and specificity. Application areas of interest include bioenergy, synthetic biology, pharmacogenetics, and structural biology. Methods of particular interest include directed evolution, macromolecular crystallography, and new algorithms for reliable computational protein engineering.

Ross moved from Buffalo, NY to Fort Collins in July of 2004, and worked as the Department of Biology's IT Coordinator since August of 2004. In April, 2011, Ross changed positions slightly to direct the CNSIT South departments and their IT needs. He has an undergraduate degree in computer science and a Masters of Business Administration with a focus on Enterprise IT Management and Corporate Finance.

Timothy J. Stasevich is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry at Colorado State University (CSU). His lab uses a combination of advanced fluorescence microscopy, genetic engineering, and computational modeling to study the dynamics of gene regulation in living mammalian cells. Most recently, his lab has pioneered the imaging of real-time single mRNA translation dynamics in living cells [1]. Dr. Stasevich received his B.S. in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Michigan, Dearborn, and his Ph. D. in Physics from the University of Maryland, College Park. He transitioned into experimental biophysics as a post-doctoral research fellow in the laboratory of Dr. James G. McNally at the National Cancer Institute. During this time, he developed technology based on fluorescence microscopy to help establish gold-standard measurements of live-cell protein dynamics. Dr. Stasevich next moved to Osaka University, where he worked with Dr. Hiroshi Kimura as a Japan Society for the Promotion of Science Foreign Postdoctoral Research Fellow. While there, he helped create technology to image endogenous proteins and their post-translation modifications in vivo. This allowed him to image the live-cell dynamics of epigenetic histone modifications during gene activation for the first time [2]. Before joining the faculty at CSU, Dr. Stasevich took a one year hiatus at the HHMI Janelia Research Campus, where he further improved the spatio-temporal resolution of endogenous protein imaging in live-cells.
