In early 2022, BlueFloat Energy and its partners secured three seabed leases (for a total capacity of up to 3 GW) in the Scotwind leasing round, the world's largest commercial round for floating offshore wind. Additionally, in 2023, the BlueFloat Energy and Renantis Partnership in the UK has signed seabed exclusivity rights to develop two 99 MW projects under the innovation arm of Crown Estate Scotland´s INTOG auction process. Our Scotwind success is the result of a sound strategy based on three pillars: one of the strongest development teams in the floating wind market, reputed local partners that complement our skills with strong experience in local development, and a global perspective.
