Ana De Castro attended the University of South Florida where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Ana is Dr. O'Brien's nurse, where she provides superior care to patients throughout the surgical process. She wanted a job that was both challenging and rewarding to make a difference in peoples' lives. She finds patient relationships the most enjoyable part of working at St. Petersburg Center for Plastic Surgery. When she's not at the office, Ana enjoys visiting Tampa Bay's beautiful beaches and going to the movies with friends.
A registered nurse with a BSN, Ana De Castro, is Dr. O'Brien's nurse. In her position, Ana provides care throughout the surgical process.

Brandi Baker is a certified surgical tech. She preps the operating room with care and aids Dr. O'Brien before and after operations are completed.
As a Certified Surgical Technologist, Brandi is responsible for maintaining the sterility of our operating room before and during surgery. Her primary responsibilities include handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. Brandi began her surgical career in Kentucky, previously working for a plastic surgery center in Lexington. She loves to improve the lives of patients and is rewarded by the fact that she's played a role in improving their self-esteem. Brandi lives in St. Petersburg with her husband and three kids.

Dana Peterson serves as our practice's medical aesthetician and certified laser technician, sharing her vast knowledge of skincare and aesthetics.

Dr. John J. O'Brien, Jr. is a board-certified plastic surgeon in St. Petersburg, FL who specializes in surgical and nonsurgical procedures for the face, breasts, and body. He began his surgical career more than 27 years ago and since then has earned a prestigious reputation for his incredible work. He was awarded "American's Top Surgeons" by the Consumers' Research Council of America and named one of "America's Top Doctors" by Castle Connelly. He is also the proud owner and director of his private plastic surgery practice in St. Petersburg, FL, which serves patients all across the west Florida area.
Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) and Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) with Dr. O'Brien are excellent options for restoring a receding hairline.
Erin Blackburn is our talented practice manager who brings a wealth of knowledge and industry experience to our practice. She has always been passionate about helping others, and after earning her undergraduate degree at Florida State University, she furthered her education by attaining her Master's in Health Administration (MHA) at the University of Florida. Erin's favorite part of her job is seeing the confidence and self-assurance patients gain as they achieve their aesthetic and reconstructive goals. Erin works diligently to ensure our office runs smoothly and efficiently as she oversees all the daily operations of our office.
Erin Blackburn serves as our practice manager and is responsible for managing all the day-to-day logistics of our office to ensure quality service.

Katie Soroka is our surgical technologist and medical assistant. She is highly trained and experienced in performing nonsurgical procedures such as CoolSculpting, Ultherapy, and more. She assists Dr. O'Brien during invasive and noninvasive procedures to provides the best patient care possible. Katie loves what she does and helping others attain their aesthetic goals.
Katie Soroka is our certified surgical technologist and medical assistant who is diversely trained and experienced in aesthetic technologies.
Linda Wolf is a registered nurse who works closely with Dr. O'Brien to provide the best possible patient care.

Mary Matelan is our certified physician assistant. She attended Florida State University where she earned her BS in dietetics, and furthered her education by attaining her master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies with Magna Cum Laude honors from Nova Southeastern University. She holds credentials with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is licensed by the Florida Board of Medicine. Mary's focus includes aesthetics and plastic surgery. She performs a wide variety of nonsurgical services including injectable fillers, BOTOX, and laser treatments. Mary has a passion for helping patients look their best and feel confident in their appearance.
Mary Matelan serves as our certified physician assistant who works closely with Dr. O'Brien and our team to provide unparalleled patient care.
Dana is a Medical Esthetician and Certified Laser Technician who obtained her licenses in 2009. She believes the esthetics industry offers an ongoing learning experience and keeping up with knowledge is key to being the best esthetician possible. Having dealt with cystic acne herself, she wants to create an individualized, successful plan of treatment for each patient. From HydraFacials, chemical peels, laser hair removal, IPL, and many other services this center has to offer, she takes pride in every treatment she performs. She wants each patient to have a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Dana believes that investing in your skin is a benefit that will last for a lifetime.
An experienced registered nurse, Rebecca "Becky" Brooks has been with St. Petersburg Center for Plastic Surgery since 2008. Becky greatly appreciates getting to know everyone she works with. Becky provides a personal touch that makes her patients feel involved and cared for. Outside of work, Becky loves spending time with her husband, friends, and fur babies. You will often find her taking long walks on the beach, doing something outdoors, or taking a trip down to the Florida Keys.
Rebecca Brooks is a registered nurse who has been with SPCPS for more than 14 years. She assists patients before, during, and after surgery.
