CALVARY EPISCOPAL SCHOOL - Key Persons

Catherine Bohot joined Calvary Episcopal School as Head of School in the summer of 2018. Mrs. Bohot graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor of science degree in animal science and later received her masters of education in education administration from Lamar University. While at Texas A&M, she was a member of the National Champion NCAA Women's Equestrian team and three-time varsity letter winner. Prior to joining Calvary, Mrs. Bohot served as an assistant principal in Bastrop ISD. Before stepping into administration, she served as a 6th, 7th, and 8th grade math teacher in Del Valle ISD, where she also served as a PLC lead, department chair, and gifted and talented coordinator. While in these roles, Mrs. Bohot successfully organized and implemented teacher professional development and served as a mentor for new teachers. She took a keen interest in helping new educators learn and grow so that they may best serve their students. Mrs. Bohot was a teacher of the year finalist for several years on her campus and was awarded candidate of the year for the State of Texas from her teacher certification program. While the bulk of Mrs. Bohot's professional experience comes from public education, she brings her personal experience as an alumnus of Episcopal High School in Houston. Her time at EHS grounded her in her faith and provided her with an experience that equally valued academic, athletics, arts, service and religion. She joined Calvary in order to ensure that her own children and all the students at Calvary are awarded with a similar experience. Calvary's dedication to its students and commitment to excellence is what drew Mrs. Bohot to join. Mrs. Bohot's firm belief that all students are capable of loving learning and sharing their gifts with the world around them, guides her as a school leader. She excels at building meaningful relationships with students, staff, and families. She believes that educating the whole child with a strong program founded in rigorous academics, athletics, arts, service, and faith allows them to reach new heights. Mrs. Bohot's unwavering commitment to providing the safest on-campus learning environment in light of the COVID-19 resulted in her serving on school reopening panels prior to the fall semester. Most recently, she was awarded the Young Leader Award for Excellence in Pandemic Leadership and Risk Mitigation by the Healthcare Advisory Collaborative.
