AARON BOGGS

Aaron Boggs has been working in the electrical industry for nearly 20 years. Aaron began his career as an IBEW apprentice after completing his associate's degree at Valencia Community College in Florida. Following Valencia, Aaron proceeded to the University of Central Florida where he received an additional 30 credit hours of coursework. Through the years, Aaron has gained valuable experience in many facets of the electrical contracting world. After completing his apprenticeship, Aaron was hired as a foreman he ran and oversaw many large-scale projects for local aerospace and defense customers. He was quickly promoted within to superintendent and eventually project manager. Since joining Carter Electric in 2019, he has added to his industrial and commercial electrical background with several large projects for local theme parks.

BRIAN KOLKER

Brian Kolker has over 30 years of experience in the electrical trade and has worked in just about every aspect of the electrical industry. From residential housing to industrial electrical construction he has held positions from Journeyman, Service Technician, Foreman , General foreman, Superintendent and now Project manager/ Estimator. Brian currently holds a certification Maintenance of Traffic and has extensive knowledge in roadway lighting projects.

CHARLIE AKERS

Charlie Akers joined the Carter Electric Team with a diverse 46 year background in Commercial Construction. Starting out in 1972 as a working Tradesman on some of the earliest theme park construction in Orlando. Working his way up to Foreman, Purchaser, Project Manager and Safety Manager on projects at WDW, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Universal Studios, Nickelodeon Studios and Cypress Gardens as well as resort properties for Marriott Vacation Club, Hyatt Hotels, Wyndham Vacation Resorts, Hilton Hotels and many others. "I am very pleased to be part of the Carter Electric Team working alongside some of the best and most professional people in the industry." Charlie helps head up all of our industry leading safety training, programs, and implementation.

DEBORAH GRAY

Deborah has been involved with accounting management for over 35 years. She has worked in different industries including universities, glass, art, manufacturing, and construction with progressive promotions. Deborah has a bachelor's degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. She brings a wealth of knowledge to Carter Electric. Her experience and exacting standards support the Company in numerous capacities from maintaining the highest accounting standards and practices to the day-to-day functioning of the accounting department, the purchasing department, and human resources. She strongly supports Carter Electric's mission statement and strives every day to live up to it.

DOUG CARTER - President

Doug Carter has been in the electrical industry for over 35 years. He started his career like many, as an apprentice through the NJATC, and after completing the program, he went on to manage work in the field as a foreman for a large local contractor. After a few years of field experience, he moved to another large local contractor and worked his way up through the ranks from service technician to Senior Project Manager. Doug is currently the Chairman of the NJATC Apprenticeship Committee and has served as a committee member or chairman for more than ten years. In 2003 Doug started Carter Electric with a simple philosophy; "If you take care of your people and your customers, the rest will take care of itself."

Felicia Gonzalez

  • Accounting Analyst
Felicia Gonzalez, an Accounting Analyst, joined Carter Electric Inc., in 2017 with 17 years of Accounting experience in the construction industry. After graduating with an accounting degree from the City University of New York in 2003, Felicia moved to Orlando. She then further her studies in Accounting and Construction Management at the University of Central Florida. Worked as a Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer for a Local Construction Company from 2004-2017. Proficient in Federal and Government Contract Administration. Understanding and applicability of Florida Lien Law and Procedures. Experience with Minority Business Administration. Knowledgeable in State and Federal Payroll Liability Compliance. Familiar with Business Certifications and government contracts. Felicia is registered as a State of Florida Public Notary

Frank J. Malamisura

Frank J. Malamisura has been in the electrical industry for over 30 yrs. Frank possess an AS degree in Electrical Technologies including motor controls and motor winding, as well as a four year apprenticeship. He has worked his way up through the ranks organically; from apprentice, foreman, general foreman, to his current position of project manager with Carter Electric.

MARINES URDANETA

Job Titles:
  • Project Scheduler
Marines is a business professional with specific experience in planning, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, controlling, and management of projects and programs of capital investment. Marines was born in Venezuela and relocated to Florida in 2016. Marines has over fifteen years as a project scheduler in her career. Marines joined Carter Electric in 2020 and has been a valuable asset to the organization and execution of all of our projects, keeping our clients extremely happy.

MARJORIE EARWOOD

Marjorie started her career in the electrical trade like many, in the four year apprenticeship program in the local St. Petersburg IBEW union. Marjorie was the first female to complete the apprenticeship program for the union in 1978. Marjorie quickly became a journeyman electrician and spent the next five years traveling the eastern United States working in other unions. Once returning to Florida Marjorie went to work for a large national contractor where she quickly moved up the ranks. Her experience included service technician, general foreman, estimator, project manager and safety manager. Marjorie has over ten years experience in electrical project management position. She is a valued resource in the Carter Electric project team!

MIKE CAREY

Mike strengthens our team's commitment to Safety with his 40 years of experience in the electrical industry and his extended and growing knowledge of work safety practices. Mike is a graduate of the Central Florida Electrical JATC Apprenticeship program. He worked as a Service Manager and Project Manager for another electrical contractor. He left that role to start his own successful and reputable electrical contracting company, Carey Electric, Inc., from 1992 through 2013. Mike embarked on a venture with Reedy Creek Energy Services at Walt Disney World where he was an Electrical Field Engineer from 2012 to 2017. He currently holds an Unlimited Electrical Contractors license in the State of Florida and is a member of the IBEW and also is an OSHA 500 Authorized Trainer!

PAT MARCHESE

Pat started in the Electrical industry in 1988 working for an independent supply Company as a warehouse employer learning the trade. Pat moved on from the supply end of the industry over to the contractor side using his material and logistical skill sets and found his way into purchasing in 1995. Pat previously worked for one of Central Florida's largest Electrical Contractors purchasing materials and supplies for many large scale projects such as The Mall at Millennia, Winter Garden Village at Fowler's Grove and most of the rides and buildings at WDW and all its theme parks to name a few. "I am very proud to be part of the (CEI) Carter Electric Team, continuing to be part of one of the states top electrical contractors and doing some of the most prestigious work in the state of Florida."

RORY BARTON

Rory Barton has over 30 years in the electrical trade. 10 years in the Delaware, Maryland tristate area where he gained experience in residential, commercial and industrial project with a strong background in industrial troubleshooting and computer electronics. He then moved to Orlando in the mid 90's and worked for a local contractor as a foreman and moved up to a project manager in 2002. After doing multiple large commercial and Federal projects he was promoted to Senior Projector Manager. Looking to expand his horizons he joined Carter Electric 2016 as Project Manage/Estimator on large projects which is a good fit as he is well versed in estimating software, Microsoft project, a certified Quality Control Manager and over the years has developed great relationships with Contractors, Owners and Architects/Engineers. Probability what makes him good at project management is he is a team player, well versed in his work and believes that "there are no problems, only solutions".

SCOTT URBAN

As a Florida Native, Scott Urban has over thirty-five years' experience in the electrical field. Throughout his career, his electrical expertise grew and he has had opportunities to work on and eventually oversee a very diverse amount of lite commercial to heavy industrial electrical projects to include; a magnitude of theme park work, numerous roadway & parking lot lighting projects, wastewater treatment facilities, 15KV generation facilities, 15KV switchgear & controls, 15KV-69KV cable & equipment installations and an extensive portfolio of underground and overhead installations. With a passion for a challenge, he has always been attracted to projects that were more difficult and challenging, projects that were not always easy and took a lot of research and expertise to complete. After leaving the industry for a few years to rejuvenate, he is now serving Carter Electric as a Project Manager.

STEVE LANKFORD

Steve Lankford a Florida native, has 35 years in the electrical trade. Graduating from the IBEW L U 606 NJATC in 1990, Steve has worked on a variety of industrial and commercial projects throughout the years, from nuclear power plants to small commercial projects and service work. Steve has held many titles in the electrical trade from apprentice to superintendent, and for the last 10 years project manager at Carter Electric.

STEVEN LANGSTON

Steven Langston has over 17 years of experience in the electrical trade. Steven started in 2005 at Schwartz Electric where he completed his four year apprenticeship program. In 2010 after completing the program, Steve quickly became a Journeyman and spent twelve years in the field as a foreman. Steven's hard and quality work in the field allowed him the opportunity to become an estimator. Steven has won and managed a vast array of quality electrical projects for Carter Electric and other local contractors. Steven has worked at Carter Electric for over seven years and is a valued part of our estimating team.

TAYLOR CARTER

Taylor began his time with his family's business back as an adolescent with tasks like sorting through electrical material in shipping containers and washing vehicles. Taylor attended the University of Central Florida in 2010 and graduated in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in business management and is a proud UCF alumnus. After some short time away exploring other construction industries, Taylor currently serves as the operations support manager helping streamline and support the company operations. Taylor strives to be an innovator in efficiency and creativity within the industry. Taylor strives for the highest standards of professionalism in his duties and is working towards taking the company to even higher levels of success.

Tony Schroeder

Tony Schroeder is a master electrician with over 33 years of diverse experience in the electrical industry. Tony's career has allowed him to cover many avenues in the trade including commercial, residential, and industrial applications. Tony is known for possessing a solid track record of quality performance, service, and integrity and has built strong relationships with many customers and industry experts.
