Ashley E. Bass

served on the Board of the Hammond Chamber of Commerce, co-chairing the Education Committee. She helped develop the city's Magnet School Pilot Program and was part of the Steering Committee for the accelerated learning program. Ms. Bass also serves on the board of trustees for the LSU Law School and the Baton Rouge Diocesan School Board. Ashley Edwards Bass, a Hammond native, obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Mississippi State in 1989. She then received her Juris Doctorate from Louisiana State University Law Center in 1996. From 1995-1997, she worked at the 21st Judicial District Court as a law clerk. She was admitted in 1996 to practice in Louisiana, and joined the firm in 1997. She became a partner in 2002. Ashley expanded her law expertise in 2018 by becoming a Mediator and Special Master with Mediation Arbitration Professional Systems, Inc. Currently, Ashley is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, and the American and Federal Bar Associations. She is also a member of the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys, the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, the 21st Judicial District Bar Association, and the 22nd Judicial District Bar Association. A former board member of CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) and of the Hammond Junior Auxiliary, Ashley remains active in community organizations. She served on the Board of the Hammond Chamber of Commerce as the co-chair of the Education Committee and the Steering Committee for the accelerated learning program. She was active in the development of the Magnet School Pilot Program. Ashley is also a past board member of the Tangipahoa Chapter of the American Cancer Society. She is also on the Board of Trustees for the LSU Law School. She was named JA Woman of the Year and was most recently selected by the Tangipahoa Chamber of Commerce as a 2022 Annie Award recipient recognizing women who work in excellence and have a true servant's heart for our community. Ashley is a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Hammond and served on the Holy Ghost School Board where she also served as Chairperson. She also served on the Baton Rouge Diocesan School Board. Brittany L. Schroder Michael

Brittany L. Schroder Michael is an associate attorney with a broad range of work experience and community outreach. She grew up in Covington before going on to graduate from the Louisiana School of Math, Science and the Arts in Natchitoches. Before starting college, she interned at the St. Tammany West Chamber of Commerce. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Louisiana State University in 2008. At LSU, she participated in Zeta Tau Alpha, Silver Wings, and Up 'til Dawn while working as a manager of a family business and a student worker at the Governor's Office of Rural Development. Brittany returned to LSU earning a Juris Doctorate and Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law with Pro Bono Service Exceeding 50 hours in 2013. While at the Paul M. Hebert Law Center, Brittany was a student law clerk for the Louisiana Public Service Commission, obtained qualifications to be a domestic mediator, and was elected to student board positions with the Public Interest Legal Society, the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, and the Legal Association of Women. Brittany previously worked as a Litigation Consultant and adjuster for F. A. Richard & Associates, York Risk Services Group, and Sedgwick consulting on complex, litigated, and high-exposure insurance claims. During this time, she was licensed as an adjuster in 32 states. While at Sedgwick, she was twice recognized nationally as a Values in Action Honoree and appointed to the Process Improvement Team to be the voice of fellow workers to upper management. She actively serves the community as Treasurer of the Pineview Middle School Parent Teacher Association, a board member of the Zeta Tau Alpha Northshore Alumnae, and a member of the Krewe of Eve. She is a former board member of the Junior League of Greater Covington and James Samaritan.

Indigo K. Diekmann

Indigo Kate Diekmann was born in Aspen, Colorado. She returned to her family's home state of Louisiana as a third generation Louisiana State University Tiger. While at LSU Indigo served on the campaign teams of two successful Student Government Association campaigns. She was also an active legacy-member of the Chi Omega Sorority. Throughout her collegiate career, Indigo worked as a swim instructor at Crawfish Aquatics teaching life-saving water skills to children. Indigo graduated with her Juris Doctor and Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law in May of 2020 at the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center. While at LSU Law, Indigo served on the Board of Advocates as the Executive Vice President of External Competitions and the Student Bar Association as Executive Vice President. She also successfully represented LSU Law in four national Trial Advocacy and Moot Court competitions. Upon graduation she was named a member to the Order of Barristers and the Wex Malon American Inn of Court for her skill in Advocacy and dedication to integrity in the field of Law. She remains an active alumni member of the LSU Law Advocacy Program through assisting students in practice and volunteering as a judge for competitions. After passing the 2021 Louisiana Bar, Indigo began working as an associate at Cashe, Coudrain and Bass. She is a proud supporter of The Louisiana State University Tiger Athletic Foundation (Geaux Tigers), The Southeastern Louisiana University Lions Athletic Association (Lion Up), and Tankproof - a non profit that gives youth in under-served communities life-saving swim instruction. Indigo is a member of The Louisiana State Bar Association, The Twenty First Judicial District Bar Association (past Executive Secretary), The Tangipahoa Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals, The Tangipahoa Chamber of Commerce Governmental Affairs Committee, The Hammond Area Mary Bird Perkins Advisory Committee, and soon to be Member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Hammond.

Sean M. Casey

Practice Areas Construction Law/ New Home Warranty Act Sean Michael Casey, a native of St. Charles Parish, graduated as the valedictorian of Destrehan High School's Class of 1983 before attending Louisiana State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting completing the degree requirements in just three years while making the Dean's list most semesters. Sean attended LSU Law School graduating in 1989 and finishing in the top 20% of his class. While still in law school, Sean was recruited by a large defense firm in New Orleans where, after passing the Bar, he worked on multi-million dollar deals in the firm's commercial transactions section. With a focus on residential and commercial real estate acquisitions and financings, Sean went on to open and operate Louisiana's very first statewide title company that regularly served all 64 parishes, served as a compliance officer and vice president of Louisiana's largest bank holding company, and was the Director of Louisiana Operations for a title company owned in part by a Fortune 500 company. Sean served on the school boards of Mater Dolorosa School in Independence (3 years) and St. Thomas Aquinas Regional Catholic High School in Hammond (7 years) and, also, served on the fair committee of Holy Ghost Catholic in Hammond (10 years). Sean proposed and then chaired a Diocesan committee that brought special education classrooms to a handful of Catholic schools throughout the Diocese of Baton Rouge after three years of careful planning and preparation. Sean is a member of the Louisiana Bar Association and is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state courts as well as the U.S. District Courts of the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana. Sean, his wife, Rachel, and their daughter, Madison, have resided in Independence, Louisiana since 2000 when they purchased the farm they still call home. Sean's hobbies include traveling, riding his horses, raising miniature donkeys, snow skiing, golfing, and sharing time with family. From 2018 to early 2022, Sean and Rachel operated a bed & breakfast in Natchez, Mississippi. Sean joined Cashe Coudrain & Bass as an "of counsel" in 2022. Shaan M. Aucoin
