The Civil Rights Group was started to address these specific issues, Police Misconduct, Prisoners' Rights, and Housing Harassment... Tom and Alison met when Alison moved into the office next door to Tom's at Sidley Austin LLP, a large corporate law firm. Alison had joined the firm as pro bono counsel because she wanted to work on prisoners' rights and other civil rights cases, and large firms like Sidley are often appointed by judges to handle those cases. Tom was also interested in civil rights cases, having worked on dozens as a clerk to two judges and in his past work for Loevy & Loevy and Brancart & Brancart... The Civil Rights Group focuses on the cases our attorneys feel most passionate about; police misconduct, prisoners' rights, and housing harassment. But even if your case doesn't fit into one of those categories, that doesn't mean we don't want to hear from you or can't help.
