- Expanded Duties Dental Assistant
Amie has been with Couzens Dental since 2017 and works as an expanded duties dental assistant. In addition to taking x-rays and making crowns, Amie's favorite part of her job is working with Invisalign® patients. She loves to see the transformation from start to finish! Amie and her husband have one daughter and just bought a farm complete with chickens, a dog, and two cats.
Amy has been with Couzen Dental since the fall of 2021. She comes from the banking world and loves the flexibility that her role as the financial coordinator provides. She says that the entire Couzens team is amazing to work with. She has three kids, a dog, and an 18 year old cat to keep her busy outside of work! She enjoys spending time with her friends and family and is planning on buying a camper so that they can all spend even more time outdoors.
Robbie Taylor DMD, MPH grew up in Corbin KY, and received his dental degree from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in 2009. In 2010 he completed his residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at The University Hospital in Cincinnati. After 3 years in private practice, Dr. Taylor joined the faculty at the University of Kentucky, where he was a Team Leader and Director of Clinic Curriculum at the College of Dentistry. While at UK he mentored his 4th year dental students in all aspects of patient care. He taught endodontics (root canals), surgery, and management while also seeing his own patient base in Faculty Practice at the college. In 2018 he earned his master's degree in Public Health Policy and Administration, and went on to represent the dental school on the University's Global Health Advisory Committee. This included taking teams of dental students to provide care in Nicaragua and Puerto Rico. Nationally, Dr. Taylor was involved in the American Dental Education Association, where he was the Chair of Comprehensive Care and General Dentistry.
Susan Hale Couzens, DMD, received her dental degree from the University of Kentucky in 1995, and has practiced in Danville, KY, since 1998. With a commitment to clinical excellence, she stays up to date with current research and continuing education, which allows her to implement use of the latest technology, materials, and techniques. In addition to membership in the American Dental Association, she is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.
Martha has worked with the Couzens family since 2005. She has an Associate's Degree in dental hygiene as well as a certificate in anesthesia. Her favorite part of being a dental hygienist is working on perio (gum health) and seeing the impact of healthy gums. She enjoys educating patients on how to take care of their oral hygiene while at home so that they can have beautiful smiles and better overall health. Martha has two teenage daughters and loves to read and camp in her free time.
Molly joined the Couzens team in 2018 and currently acts as the front office coordinator. She's the smiling face that greets each patient when they arrive! Molly keeps the office running smoothly and appreciates that her coworkers truly feel like family. She has two children, and her kids along with her boyfriend Keith and his children love to spend time together, especially outdoors.

Rachael joined Couzens Dental in 2008 as an expanded duties dental assistant. She loves many parts of her work, but especially the process of making crowns. She's great at it and loves being able to help people feel more confident about their smiles! Rachael has a daughter and an Australian Shepherd Poodle mix who keep her busy outside of work. They love to explore the outdoors and go camping together.
Toni joined Couzens Dental in 2020 and works as a dental hygienist. The best part of her day is being able to work with all the wonderful patients. She enjoys being hands-on and having an active role in improving patient health. Toni has two kids and a dog and they spend most days playing outdoor sports. They all love being outside and traveling together.
