Chris Bennett is Chair of the National Banking and Financial Services practice group at Osler. He also leads the firm's Project Finance team in Toronto.
Chris' practice focuses on financial services with an emphasis on public-private partnerships, project finance, infrastructure and structured finance. Chris has extensive experience acting for domestic and international lenders, developers, equity sponsors and other participants in connection with complex P3 and infrastructure transactions and project financings across Canada. He has led major transactions in a variety of industry sectors and asset classes, including social infrastructure, transportation, electricity and renewable energy. Chris has closed more than 50 P3 projects over his career, and his experience includes a number of innovative, first-of-type public private partnerships, including the first major healthcare P3 transaction in Canada to reach financial close, the first Canadian domestic monoline wrapped bank financing and the first combined bank-bond transportation project. He has represented all major categories of project finance lenders in the Canadian market, including domestic and foreign banks, private placement investors and bond underwriters. Chris is the only Canadian lawyer to be named as "Star Individual" for Project: PPP and Infrastructure by Chambers Canada.
Chris has spoken and written extensively on matters relating to project finance and public-private partnerships. Chris has been an Adjunct Professor at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law since 2007 where he teaches on the law and policy of public private partnerships and risk transference between the public and private sectors.

Donna is the Managing Partner of Osler's Ottawa office. Donna's practice focuses on trademark prosecution with a significant emphasis on proceedings before the Trademarks Opposition Board. Her expertise encompasses international and domestic trademark counselling, licensing, Internet and domain name issues, trademark enforcement and product labelling. She regularly counsels clients on international registration and the management of domestic and international portfolios. Donna is on the Editorial Board of the Internet Law & Business. She is also former Chair of the Trademark Agents Board of Examiners and was a member for many years of the Editorial Board of the Canadian Patent Reporter. She is author of Selecting and Protecting Trade-marks: A Practice Guide and has spoken extensively on international and domestic trademark protection at many conferences and seminars.

Doug is the National Managing Partner of Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP. He is also a partner in the firm's Business Law group, focusing on mergers and acquisitions and securities law matters, and has acted on a number of Canada's highest profile public company M&A transactions. His practice has included a broad range of transactions and advice encompassing private and public company acquisitions, hostile and supported takeover bids, going private transaction, private and public market financings, mining matters and disclosure, corporate governance issues and advising domestic and cross-border issuers with respect to their general public company obligations. Doug returned to the Toronto office after practising in the firm's New York office from 2008 to 2011. He is currently a member of the firm's Executive Committee, and a former chair of the firm's Mining Group. Doug is a former member of the Securities Advisory Committee (SAC) of the Ontario Securities Commission.

Emmanuel (Manny) Pressman is Co-Chair of Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt and a member of the Partnership Board. He represents public and private companies, private equity sponsors, special committees, boards of directors, and investment banks involved in take-over bids, proxy contests, joint ventures, negotiated and contested mergers and acquisitions, and a range of corporate transactions and restructurings. His clients have included Constellation Brands, The Estée Lauder Companies, Entertainment One, Magna International, Blackstone, TPG Capital, KingSett Capital, Vector Capital, New Mountain Capital, and Fairfax Financial.
Mr. Pressman is widely and repeatedly recognized as a leading M&A practitioner including by Who's Who Legal (Global Leader); Chambers Global: The World's Leading Lawyers for Business (Band 1); The Lexpert/AmLaw Guide to the Leading 500 Lawyers in Canada; The Legal 500; The Best Lawyers in Canada; and The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory (Most Frequently Recommended).

Mr. Pressman is an elected Fellow of the American College of Governance Counsel. He is also a frequent speaker at conferences relating to mergers and acquisitions, and has guest lectured at the McGill University Faculty of Law, the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, and the IBA Mergers & Acquisitions Conference in New York; and was the co-author of the Canada chapter of the International Mergers & Acquisitions Review for 10 years. Among his community involvement, Mr. Pressman currently serves on the Board of the Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation.

Ian is an associate in the Emerging and High Growth Companies Group of our Vancouver office. He received his J.D. from the University of Toronto and also obtained his Bachelor of Management and Organizational Studies with a Specialization in Accounting from the University of Western Ontario.
Kelly is the head of the firm's Marketing & Distribution Practice Group. Her commercial practice has an emphasis on consumer protection, marketing, distribution and intellectual property matters. Widely recognized for her business practical approach, she works extensively with retailers, manufacturers, distributors and marketers of a broad range of products and services, as well as with advertising and promotional agencies. Kelly advises Canadian and foreign based clients in connection with various aspects of doing business in Canada including consumer protection legislation, advertising and promotions, coupons, packaging and labelling, e-commerce and distribution and pricing matters. In addition, Kelly's practice extends to various aspects of intellectual property law, including the protection, registration and licensing of intellectual property rights and the protection of confidential information. She also regularly provides transaction and litigation support in marketing, trade practice, distribution and intellectual property matters.
