CustomShirts.com was founded by Daniel Stanojevic in 2000. As he was graduating engineering college, he noticed how many students were wearing t-shirts with a message on them. Coming from a fashion oriented family business, and wanting to enable people to get their message out there and express themselves, he started looking into printing t-shirts. At the time, screen printing was only cost effective for bulk orders and the other techniques available didn't have the same level of quality. During this research, Daniel found the technology to let an individual get a single t-shirt printed at a reasonable price without having to worry about the limitations of traditional screen printing. The only thing left was to empower people even more by making it easy to design their shirt right online without knowing how to use a powerful graphics program.
