Alberto has been the first incorporation into the customer service staff. He finished an advanced vocational training course on physical activity and sports in Granada. Right after, Alberto started working and, thus, helping others reach their personal goals. He has not stopped working since then, even on different occupations. For instance, he worked as a personal trainer in Gijón (North of Spain) but also as an administrative assistant in a logistics company (Algeciras).
In addition, cryptocurrency is a topic that deeply interests him since the moment he became aware of its importance: cryptocurrencies are here to stay for a long time. He has wanted to be part of our growth since the moment he heard about our project, which consists in combining both health and Damex. His aim is to help customers and make their experience easier; this is why Alberto has joined our team

Alexandra Carreras is a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. She joined the Damex.io team in May 2022 as Chief Financial Officer after having led Damex.io's accounting and financial reporting as the firm's outsourced accounting provider since the business' incorporation in December 2017.
Through Alexandra's years of industry experience and long relationship with Damex.io, she has a deep understanding of the business' operating model, accounting and finance practices and has implemented a number of significant improvements to the firm's financial reporting and other key practices in the firm's finance department.
Alexandra is well placed to lead on the firm's accounting and audit practices, bringing with her over 10 years of relevant experience having practised in external and internal audit, accounting, tax and other assurance matters. In this role she was responsible for engagements on various industries including distributed ledger technology/digital assets, financial services, gaming, real estate, investment holding and technological development.
In 2019, Alexandra was appointed director and statutory auditor in one of the top ten global firms and where she currently continues to be a non-executive director.

Artjoms is a dedicated, enthusiastic, and hands-on leader who is primarily responsible for overseeing the day-to-day compliance of the business. Artjoms is an ACAMS certified compliance professional with 5+ years of experience managing legal, regulatory, and corporate compliance risks. Artjoms has occupied various senior compliance roles in the DLT regulated companies since 2018 and blends a unique set of skills with a strong focus on compliance alignment and operational optimization in crypto and fiat payments solutions, ensuring a high level of customer and regulatory satisfaction.
Calum began trading a variety of equities, cryptocurrencies, and derivative products while studying Chemical Engineering at The University of Edinburgh. This lead him to an internship at the hedge fund Citadel, before joining a crypto start-up in Paris after completing his studies. Today, Calum works as a trader on our OTC desk, as well as writing research pieces for Damex and a few DAO's.
Upon finishing her studies in Marketing and Market Research at the University of Seville, Carlota started her professional career as an intern at a large global real estate consultancy in Madrid, working in the Brand Events department.
After a couple of months, she became part of the Marketing team of one of his company's main lines of business, collaborating in the creation of strategies focused on customer experience for a renowned investment fund in the IBEX 35 group.
During the last year, she decided to resume her studies, obtaining a master's degree in Digital Marketing ; she is passionate about her job (and tennis), and never quits looking for new opportunities to learn and give valuable and innovative proposals.
Carmen Gomez Villalta is a dedicated professional with 11 years of experience in the retail industry and a passion for accounting.
She is currently studying AAT level 4 at the University of Gibraltar while working as a finance assistant at Damex. Her strong background in customer service and keen attention to detail make her well-suited for this role.

Carol is a specialist in communications driven by Artificial Intelligence and software product development. For 10 years she has developed products and led multiple tech projects for local, regional & national governments in LATAM and for the private sector within the US and Europe. In the meantime she recruited, mentored and supported a team of more than 50 consultants, software engineers and data scientists.
Carol graduated with a Telecommunications Engineering degree and an MSc in Information and Communications Technologies from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain. She also holds an MSc in Business Intelligence from Universidad Ramon Llull in Barcelona, Spain.
She has designed and executed successful marketing procedures using innovative strategies, including behavioral segmentation models and AI driven audiences. Carol has also synthesized company and competitor performance data to discover untapped markets for multiple products across several industries.

Caroline is a financial services professional based in Gibraltar with solid experience as a sell-side equity analyst, including ESMA regulated Fund & Debt listings and portfolio management across equities, bonds, and derivative products. She holds an Economics degree, and Capital Markets Programme - Securities - Level 3 & Capital Markets Programme - FSA UK Regulation - Level 3. Caroline was part of the number 1 Thomson Extel rated research team in 2013 and 2014.
More recently, Caroline has focused on collaborating with progressive technology upstarts to help grow and develop innovative projects into companies. Currently reading; Factfulness: Ten Reasons We're Wrong About the World--and Why Things Are Better Than You Think by Hans Rosling.
During her masters, she took part in a stablecoin project which reached the whitepaper stage. Emma also has experience in writing code, namely SAS, RStudio and Python as well experience using Bloomberg and Refinitiv for data use in projects.
Emma has a keen interest in cryptocurrencies and is excited to further her knowledge in this field. She will be working in operations reporting directly to our COO, who is tasked with scaling the company to its next ambitious milestones.

Born in the USA, bred in the Caribbean and now based in Europe Jason joins the #damfam as one of our newest additions. A strong advocate for the use of Blockchain and Digital Assets with a wealth of industry knowledge Jason is a graduate of Washington College in MD, USA with a BA in International Studies.
Prior to moving to Europe Jason worked as a Certified Credit and Housing Counselor with the NFCC and as a top performing Credit and Risk Officer with MBNA America.
Once in Gibraltar what was supposed to be a relatively short stint in online gaming turned into a successful 10 year career. Although he excelled he also had clarity on what he didn't want to do for the rest of his life.
A huge fan of both Gibraltar and the Blockchain / Digital Asset space Jason joined DAM in April as our Business Development Manager and he's very much looking forward to seeing DAM become Gibraltar's first Unicorn Company.

As the Compliance Manager at Damex, Jayme brings a wealth of experience and skills to ensure that the company's operations adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
With a degree from Kingston University and a Master's degree from Manchester Metropolitan University, Jayme has developed a strong foundation in compliance and risk management. In his current role, Jayme is responsible for overseeing all compliance-related activities within the company, including developing and implementing policies, procedures, and training programs. He also works with Damex's partners to identify and mitigate any potential compliance risks and ensures that the company is operating in a manner that meets all regulatory requirements.
Jayme's previous experience in compliance and risk management includes working in various roles across several industries, including financial services in both Amsterdam and Gibraltar. Through these experiences, he has developed a deep understanding of the complex regulatory environments in which businesses operate and has honed his skills in identifying, assessing, and managing risks. As Compliance Manager, Jayme is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and ethics within the company.
Jere developed an interest in financial markets early on as he chose to study Economics at University while being awarded a full athletic scholarship.
After receiving his Bachelors and Master's degrees he started a professional basketball career while building a personal crypto portfolio and trading account.
As his crypto earnings began to outweigh the pro basketball contracts he decided to switch careers to become a full time trader with Damex as the latest addition to the OTC trading team.

Jeremy became DAM's first employee following an extensive internship with the Company where he displayed an unrivalled desire to learn more and grow with a young and innovative industry and Company. Prior to his full time appointment, Jeremy assisted in undergoing digital asset analysis and various operational matters. Jeremy forms a key part of the team's operational matters and has matched the team's hunger and energetic spirit as a small growth distributed ledger technology business.
Prior to joining the Company in 2019 as a full-time employee, Jeremy worked in a local bank on migration projects and client services. He also had prior experience placements working with asset managers on traditional financial instruments.
Jeremy also has successfully completed a BA (Hons) in Business Management with Economics at the University of Wolverhampton Business School. He has most recently participated in an MSc in Business Economics and Finance at Aston University Business School where he had focused on Advance Quantitative Methods, International Finance and where his dissertation focused on token economics.

Having already gained personal experience in Digital Assets and Cryptocurrency, Joe worked in close proximity with the Co-founders during two years of summer internships.
Having built up an understanding of Damex by working in compliance, trading, marketing, settlement and Operation Teams, his contribution in the Business Development Team left a lasting impression. After having gained a University Place, Joe accepted the offer to join the Damex team in 2021, from the UK.
Joe brings a talent for developing social media platforms from his Photography/ Videography experience and is focused on creating media content within our Marketing Team. Joe has a passion and flare as well as being keen to develop new media opportunities. He brings his recently acquired Business, Photography and Videography qualifications to a growing team at Damex.
Kate is a seasoned sales professional with eight years of experience in sales. Her career includes five years selling luxury property for Savills in both the UK and Gibraltar, where she consistently exceeded sales targets and managed client relationships with ease.
Kate also spent three years in the automotive industry, honing her sales skills at Honda, where she achieved remarkable success in customer relationship management and sales performance.
Throughout her career, Kate has implemented numerous successful sales processes to drive through transactions efficiently, earning her a reputation as a top-performing sales professional.

Louie graduated from El Altillo School in south of Spain. Having already completed a few work placements with the team back in Damex's early days, after graduating he jumped right into the blockchain & high-risk payments space. For the last couple of years, Louie has been providing clients with established OTC services, cross-border remittance solutions & helping with their payment pains in general.
Louis began his career working in a well reputed accounting & legal firm in Sotogrande (Spain).
He then acquired an interest for the financial sector and secured a position in a fintech company where he learned to trade the forex markets as well as getting involved in the development of custom algorithmic trading software and platforms.
Louis gained a keen interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology and decided to shift his career path in this direction and started working for ‘Koinly', one of the largest crypto tax software companies in the space. Louis now forms a key part of Damex as Head of Trading, overseeing the day-to-day of the OTC business.
After completing a business course in Southampton Solent University in the UK Luke began his working career in the shipping industry working for Smith Imossi as a Vessel Coordinator in Gibraltar. He spent 3 years honing his skills while consistently exceeding his targets.
Luke has always had a keen interest in Cryptocurrencies and the Blockchain space in general and when given the opportunity was excited to take his hobby and turn it into his career as part of DAM's Business Development team.
Megan has joined our team bringing with her a robust background in customer service and a strong focus on client satisfaction and attention to detail. She launched her career as a highly accomplished real estate agent, where she expertly navigated the dynamic property market in Gibraltar and cultivated a diverse clientele from around the world.Prior to joining Damex, Megan spent three years at a top-tier fiduciary company where she played a key role in overseeing the day-to-day secretarial and directorship operations for a portfolio of over 600 companies.

Michael is an experienced 'c' level Business professional and Start-Up Adviser with over 10 years of working at senior and board level - Accomplished in sales management, international business development, strategic planning, recruitment and early-stage business funding.
Michael was born in London and began his working career in financial services with Halifax PLC. After three years in banking, Michael decided to head for a career in sales working for six years within Blue Chip Companies where he held several positions starting Key accounts to Regional Sales Manager leading a large team of field sales executives across the south-east region of the UK.
Over the last decade, Michael has travelled and worked extensively across multiple territories including London, New York, Los Angeles, Amsterdam, Tel Aviv, Malaga, Sofia, Belgrade and Gibraltar where he held various senior-level positions including Director of Membership for the App Developers Alliance, a non-profit organisation based out of Washington DC and more recently Managing Director for one of the worlds largest advertising platforms helping to scale the business internationally from their Amsterdam Headquarters.

Miguel started his career as a Professional basketball player in (2006) after successfully representing Spain in the Under16 European Championship and playing in some of the top leagues in Europe such as the Russian, Denmark and Baltic league.
During his basketball career, he also took on managing marketing departments for sports clubs.
Miguel moved into the Gibraltar Online Gaming sector in 2017 when he joined 888, leading 8 different teams in different brands and languages as a Shift Operations Manager.
He then Joined GVC's Bwin and Party labels marketing team. Managing markets whilst developing promotional end to end campaigns and coordinating with the involved departments.

Nigel Palmer who between the years 2004/07 left being an English translator in Madrid to join, as trade support for Investors Europe Stock Broker from 2008/9.
He later founded his own Digital Signage Advertising Agency and Marketing Consultancy from 2010/17. He holds a national diploma in management and is also a professional musician and a member of the Performing Rights Society (PRS) in UK.
At DAM Nigel is an integral part of the trading desk and on deck for our day-to-day trading activities.
Noelle joins the legal team as Legal Counsel and will be assisting on all of the legal projects that we have and that are growing.
Noelle trained and qualified as a lawyer in private practice in Gibraltar where she spent 3 years mainly in commercial, shipping, and financial services. She then moved onto work as legal counsel on shipping matters within a shipping business in Gibraltar.
She is also known for co-founding Blockchain Rock, a podcast that explores blockchain technology and its multiple use cases by interviewing crypto and blockchain leaders.
On the side, Noelle also runs her own business selling sustainable cosmetics under her brand Lowh.

Oliva Leung, a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, joined the Damex team as Senior Accountant in April 2023. Prior to this, she gained valuable experience working with a prominent BTC mining group.
Having qualified in London, Oliva's extensive career encompasses a wide range of expertise in auditing, accounting, taxation, funds, and wealth management across various industries. She holds a degree in Business Economics and demonstrates exceptional commercial acumen.
As an avid enthusiast and proponent of blockchain technology, Oliva is well-equipped to provide significant value and insight to the Damex team.
Paula is an ambitious and hardworking person. She chose to move to England after completing her studies in marketing and advertisement in Seville right before the pandemic started to learn the language and find new opportunities. A couple of years later, she moved back to Spain and is now a member of the Damex Marketing Department. She is thrilled about this new challenge she faces in the crypto world.

A student of finance with a Bachelor"s Degree in Finance and an MBA in Banking and Finance. Sam is also a Chartered Banker in the UK. Sam is an entrepreneur and an investor living in Gibraltar. He has worked for multiple fintech startups and is passionate about venture creation and blockchain.
Sam has experience managing portfolios of a range of asset classes including Equities, Fixed Income, Structured Products, Commodities, FX and Digital Assets. In 2012, Sam joined the Investment Challenge Team at Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) as an Equity Analyst, where his team outperformed the S&P 500 in 2013 with a return of 44.15%.
In 2013, he also completed his CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) investment research course where he was awarded a CFA certificate for outstanding investment research. This CFA initiative promotes best practices in equity research through hands-on mentoring and intensive training in company analysis and presentation skills.
From August 2014 to May 2016, Sam joined Plurimi Wealth in Gibraltar as an Equity Analyst and direct support for the head of portfolio management. Plurimi's offerings included advisory, discretionary and execution only Mandates.
In September 2017, Sam completed his MBA in Banking and Finance from Bangor University, where his research on new venture creation and crowdfunding has been officially published by Bangor and available to read in Bangor University Library.

Samuel is an experienced algorithmic trader with more than 20 years of knowledge. Creating and implementing unique algorithmic trading systems for some of the world's most prestigious hedge funds and exchanges.
Samuel has worked for a variety of high-profile crypto/trading startups, including Sibex.io as Head of Sales, Crypto.com as Head of Trading, and Currency.com as Head of OTC.
In addition, Samuel is also the founder of the OTC Network, which promotes the adoption of OTC solutions and information sharing in the OTC/crypto community.
He'll be joining us as Chief Innovation Officer, with the goal of overhauling our internal and external digital transformation, particularly in the OTC department.
Santino efficiently handles all compliance-related matters for both retail and institutional clients. With an unyielding desire for personal and professional growth, he takes a proactive approach and willingly shoulders new responsibilities to support DAMEX Compliance team.

Scott is from Edinburgh and graduated Stirling University with a Business Law degree.
After working in TradFi for around 10 years he relocated to Southern Spain and finally Gibraltar where he gained exposure to the Crypto industry at the top of the bull run in late 2017 (rekt soon after).
In 2018 Scott joined CFE Ltd as an Account Manager and was part of the team that was granted the first ever DLT licence in Gibraltar.
He moved on to Damex in April 2019 where as Head of Trading he was tasked with scaling up our OTC business. Monthly volumes increased across the desk from 1m to 200m over a 3.5 year period as Damex moved out of "start-up" territory.
As of 01/02/2023, Scott is now Damex COO as we pursue our final end goal of becoming a Gibraltar unicorn.

Thomas brings a strong Blockchain and Operational foundation to the team.
As a founder of the business, he has seen the company through every high and low. Providing stability, reassurance and all-around support for every employee and client of the business. His focus is on all operational matters of the business, including Retail and Business verticals, The Damex Token, Market Making, Treasury Management, Liquidity provisions, security and even company trips away from the office.
His working career started in 2005 with the British Army, working closely with national and foreign military units in Gibraltar. He served for 8 years in this role and brings with him a wealth of practical experience.
Thomas later joined some of Gibraltar's leading Online Gaming companies - Bwin, Party Digital Entertainment and GVC PLC. Thomas left GVC as a VIP Account Manager where held relationships with high-net-worth individuals before joining WaveCrest Holdings. At WaveCrest, Thomas took on the role of Supervising Manager of B2B operations. In this role, he managed the Business Partner Services team and held key business relationships with respected blockchain businesses, such as Xapo and Wirex.
Thomas' experience with Blockchain started in mining Cryptocurrencies. This entry into the market, allowed him to explore the world of Blockchain and Digital Assets further, he started to trade on exchanges and educate other people about the possibilities and risks of Digital Assets.
Unable to find any accessible local community or forum to discuss developments in Blockchain, Thomas founded the Gibraltar Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Community in late 2017. He is also a Committee member of the Gibraltar Association for New Technologies.He is a dedicated sailor competing in various regattas year round, a volunteer for local animal shelters and a father to two dogs. Thomas values a progressive culture, integrity, good food and a sense of humour.
