• Mike is well known in many parts of the world and enjoys a good international reputation through teaching and research commitments. He has long standing links with Tanzania and in the mid-1990s became coordinator of a British Council Link program with Thailand. He has been invited to teach in Zimbabwe, Papua New Guinea, Malaysia and Taiwan... • He maintains a very productive link with Professor Hilton Deeth and the University of Queensland, Australia. This resulted in funding from Dairy Innovation Australia Ltd (DIAL) to study factors affecting the heat stability of milk powders... • In 2012 he gave a course of lectures on dairy science and technology in Taiwan. He has been invited back in 2013.
