DAVID PLATT EQUINE

David qualified in 1985 from Liverpool University before moving to Cambridge University Vet School as a Registrar for five years. During this period David also worked as a visiting clinician in the equine departments at the Universities of Colorado, California and Florida in USA. In 1990 he moved to the world famous Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology in London, where he undertook three years of research into equine joint disease and was awarded a PhD for his contribution on understanding the mechanisms of arthritis... David joined the Equine Department of the Royal Veterinary College in 1993, where he was employed in the large animal surgery department. He achieved his Equine Orthopaedics Consultancy status when he was awarded his Diploma in Equine Orthopaedics (DEO).
