Dr. Butler received his dental degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has also received advanced training through the Dawson Institute and the Pankey Institute, both of which focus heavily on treatment for headaches, migraines and TMJ disorders. Dr. Butler is honored to use his training to provide patients with the care they need and deserve. Dr. Butler currently maintains a private dental office in Boone North Carolina that focuses on comprehensive cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry. He practices comprehensive dentistry in a relationship-based setting. This focus is not only on dental care but also on the emotional needs of the patient. Dr. Butler is a member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, the First District Dental Society, the Western Piedmont Dental Society, the Tar Heel Dental Society, and the Pankey Alumni Association, and has achieved the Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry. He has written numerous articles, which have been published in psychology journals and dental publications. Through his practice of dentistry, advanced studies, and published papers, he received the advanced degree of Master of the Academy of General Dentistry. Family is very special to Dr. Butler: When not in the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Phyllis, and two grown children, Brooke and Rhett. His passions include scuba diving, piloting, reading, fulfilling his duties as an assistant Boy Scout leader, and attending the United Methodist Church.
