Alexis joined MAPC as a housing and land use planner in March 2018, bringing a broad range of experience from across the design, planning, and development fields. Her work has focused on leveraging good design and planning towards the creation of safe, affordable homes and equitable neighborhoods. Alexis has been a registered architect since 2008. She holds a Master of City Planning from the University of California, Berkeley, where her research analyzed the development potential for affordable housing near transit stations in changing neighborhoods. She also holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Carnegie Mellon University.

Alison Felix

Alison Felix has served as a transportation planner with MAPC since 2009 and now serves as a Principal Planner and Emerging Technologies Specialist. Ms. Felix is an active member of the Women's Transportation Seminar (WTS) and has been Co-Chair of their Newsletter Committee for several years. In 2007, she was the recipient of WTS-Boston's ‘Member-of-the Year' award. She is also a member of the American Planning Association (APA).

Amanda Linehan - CCO

Amanda Linehan has served as the head of communications for MAPC since 2008, having previously worked as a professional journalist. Ms. Linehan leads the communications team at MAPC, promoting the agency's work online, in the media, and through marketing channels. She also manages mapc.org and oversees the agency's blog, annual report, graphic design, photography/videography, email marketing, event outreach and social media presence, as well as communication with the MAPC Board and Council membership.

Amy Reilly

Ms. Reilly served as the program manager for the Northeast Homeland Security Regional Advisory Council (NERAC) from August 2010 until September 2012 where she managed a Council of 16 public safety professionals and 5 subcommittees to ensure a shared, multi-disciplinary vision of improvement of homeland security capabilities. In this role, Ms. Reilly planned and facilitated monthly meetings of the Council and its subcommittees and managed grant funded projects to procure equipment, conduct trainings and exercises, research critical emergency preparedness issues, and establish systems and protocols to enhance safety.

Angela Brown joined MAPC in 2022. She works in the Land Use Department as Chief of Economic Development, managing the Economic Development Division. Ms. Brown's efforts focus on crafting downtown and commercial/industrial area visions and plans, leading economic development initiatives, and promoting worker upskilling and workforce development. She develops actionable strategies to realize the MetroCommon 2050 regional plan and the equity priorities set forth in it, and works with municipalities to access American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds and other support to help small businesses, non-profit organizations, and job seekers achieve economic recovery and resilience.

Ann Kissel

Ann Kissel joined MAPC in 2021 as the Regional Epidemiologist for the North Suffolk Public Health Collaborative, serving the municipalities of Winthrop, Revere, and Chelsea, Massachusetts. As part of the Public Health Team at MAPC, Ann works with external stakeholders in the respective municipalities to utilize quantitative and qualitative data that supports public health initiatives. Ann focuses much of her time on assisting each Local Public Health Department apart of the Collaborative with their community-level responses to COVID-19 through an epidemiological approach.

Brad Downey joined MAPC's Municipal Collaboration team full-time in November 2020 as the Grants Management Coordinator. Brad is currently the Health and Medical Coordination Coalition (HMCC) Region 3D co-coordinator, responsible for organizing regional collaboration between 15 municipal health departments in Northeast Massachusetts. He also helps manage procurement and spending for the region through the HMCC's Public Health Emergency Preparedness grant program. In addition to his work with the HMCC, Brad assists with the management and administration of Federal Homeland Security grant funding received by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Cammy Peterson

Cammy Peterson joined MAPC's Clean Energy Department in late 2013, and has served as Director since early 2016. As Director of the Department, she oversees MAPC's clean energy and climate mitigation work, including local clean energy and climate planning, regional clean energy procurements, and local and state clean energy and climate policy. Ms. Peterson shapes local clean energy and climate planning efforts through MAPC's Local Energy Action Program (LEAP), from facilitating progress toward Green Communities Designation to meeting with municipal officials and project partners and overseeing scope development and project implementation. In supervising regional energy efforts, she guides the department in developing and managing collective procurements for energy management services and technologies; in organizing collaboratives, including the Metro Mayors Coalition Climate Preparedness Taskforce; and in coordinating multi-municipal efforts on building codes, vehicle and building electrification, shared energy manager staffing, community shared solar, and renewable energy additionality, among many other topics. Under her leadership, the department has launched an innovative net zero planning platform, pioneered a groundbreaking green municipal aggregation program, and received a 2018 Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources' Leading By Example Award.

Principal Planner Carlos Javier Montañez strives to influence agency best practices, and assists clients with insights, data, and best practices for informed decision-making. He conducts highly participatory public meetings as well as research on regulations and ideas for physical improvements and drafts plan report documents with technical recommendations for MAPC clients. His recommendations for implementation typically encompass multi-pronged regulatory, investment, and infrastructure-enhancement strategies in order to achieve desired community and economic development goals.
